ID Plates - 1974 Single Cab Engine Bay
Not sure where to post this.. so please move it mod. if in the wrong spot...
Can any help me work out what these id plates are that are in the Engine Bay of my old 74 Single Cab... some people think they may be ex military.. i
have not seen them on any other vw's but maybe i am just not looking at enough engine bays..

Definately ex-military. Used the OMD oils when I was in the Navy. OMD (oil, mineral, detergent)
Also for the engine:
OMD-110 DEF-2101-D Am 1 SAE 30. Heavy duty crankcase oil for liquid-cooled & certain air-cooled engines at ambient temp not lower than -10°C.
Also certain transmission systems, gearboxes & steering systems. Replaced by OMD-75, then replaced by OMD-80 or OMD-113.

Are you sure that it isn't a '75 model?
I read it on samba, so it must be correct.
Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!
