opinion on drop plates
after getting some spindles on my bug, i feel the need to bring the back down more. so i have two options, either notch the spring plates or buy these

I have a pair of the 3" Drop Plates on their way. Seems like a great idea to me. I'll let you know how they go.

If you notch the spring-plates, and have a 100 hp or more, watch them bend. They will, more than likely, 'bow out' and hit the inside of the rear
tyres under hard acceleration.
Grinding away the top stops on the chassis will give almost as much travel, without weakening the spring-plates.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!
