Tip for drilling stainless steel.......NEVER use a centre-punch to mark the hole position. It work-hardens that point, and the drill will 'blunt'.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Quite difficult... impossible...
best to have engine out or maybe the fan shroud off will do..
its not very flexible
