[FS - QLD] 1971 DC Project

Hi,

One of our customer's has had a change in plans and has decided to proceed with a different VW and hence I am selling this 1971 Dual Cab project.

Name: Alan Agyik
Location: Burleigh Heads, QLD
Contact: PM here, or al@dasrestohaus.com.au or 07 5522 0929
Price: $3500 ono

This is how the DC started:

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a145/Dasdubber/Project%20DC%203%20point%202/Jun25arrivalday5.jpg
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a145/Dasdubber/Project%20DC%203%20point%202/Jun25arrivalday6.jpg
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a145/Dasdubber/Project%20DC%203%20point%202/Jun25arrivalday7.jpg

The DC was fully disassembled (all parts removed are included with this sale) - parts we did not have originally include the rear bench seat and engine.

After disassembly, the DC was tilt trayed down to Sydney to be dipped (alkaline not acid) then coated with lanoline (by the dippers) for protection.

This process cost a little over $5K alone as it neutralises all the rust inside and outside of every sill and double seam etc.

There is rust in the lower sills and fortunately only in one corner of the windscreen (which someone has had a go at in the past)....but otherwise it is a solid sound vehicle. Obviously we are happy to take the resto on but this isn't the intent of this sale. We can source all panels if need be. The only thing that wasn't dipped was the gates (as we can get new ones) but the old ones are included.

Feel free to email with any questions.
Cheers
Al

During disassembly a nice surprise was found! Suffice to say Steve and I both $hit ourselves when we walked past - yes it was released into the bushes safely :)

Front floor has been removed (Klassic Fab is using this as a template to fabricate new full RHD floors so these will be available soon).

For anyone really keen to stick with the original plan, we also have the Porsche 3.2L 6 cylinder motor, G50 gearbox and 930 turbo brakes which were going to go into the DC for sale separately (will go on ebay soon since they are non vw)

G'day Ian, I have one other fellow interested in the whole package that emailed me first so I have to give him first right of refusal (will keep you up to date). Should know one way or the other by mid week hopefully.
