Don't turn your steering wheel so far
You could just flattern the back of the headlight buckets were the tyres hits.
How narrow is the beam?
Im running a 4" beam 2" drop spindles and 145 tyres and headlight buckets have been flatterned out a little on my 65 beetle.

When mine was lowered to the extreme the steering turning circle was adjusted to limit the turning circle to stop the same problem however I decided to raise the car an inch so i could have a normal turning circle without hitting the headlights

145/65's are the go
They have less side wall than a straight 135r15
135r15 is pretty much a 135/82, or there abouts
Plus the 145/65's have a bit wider tread, so more surface area on the road, making it possible to steer and brake, which also helps
