Newbie from Dubbo
Hi Guys,
My cousin in Wollongong showed me this site, so I thought I'd join as I am considering getting a Beetle sometime soon.
I have always been a rear wheel drive Volvo guy, which uses Hella, Bosch and VDO electricals, so I guess I will find some common areas there, but
apart from that I know bugger all about them, but definitely liking the mid 70s models more.
I have been looking at several cars online and also found plenty of parts that a quite inexpensive compared to other makes.
I probably need to learn more about the vehicles before I even get to the shopping stage. Are there any sites / lists of common issues to look for?

Welcome to here.
I don't know if it is any help, but when I was working in Parkes last year, there was a late 60s beetle in a car yard at Wellington. It was a metalic
purple sort of colour, but I am not sure that it was actually for sale. It was on the left a few hundred meters after you come over the bridge from
Dubbo.
The last time I came through there was in late June, but it was still there then. It looked pretty solid from what I could see, so it may be worth a
look if you are down that way.
From your ole' mate Jeff

Thanks Jeff. Might have to go for a run down there on the weekend. Will be a good excuse to get out of the house for a few hours |

Hi
Welcome along. I was visiting friends in Molong a few weeks ago and noticed a later bug sitting in a driveway that looked like it needed some love. It
was on the east end of Lee Street.
