Drum Brake Piston & Rubbers

For my ’64 Notch

The front RHS brake cylinder seized with the pad against the drum.. I managed to get the drum off but in the process broke the ‘piston’ that pushes the shoe against the drum.

Does anyone have a piston they want to sell me?
I also need a set of rubbers both internal and the external boot for both brake cylinders

Can you suggest where I could get such??

I am based in Sydney not that that matters much.

Send me a PM or reply here.

Cheers

Put two new wheel cylinders on the front. Reasonably priced, even German ones are only around $50 each. Vintage Vee Dub can help with parts.

Agree with Matt. If the piston broke [sounds like me], the cylinder is probably damaged too.

Why not check ALL cylinders while you're at it, including the master.......a lot cheaper than panel work.:tu:

I don't understand what you mean about wheel cylinders - Do you mean actually replace both pistons and housings as in the unit that recieves the brake fluid ?? So these are roughly about $50 ea?

Still got the Notch Strex!! I didn't think the wheel cyls were still available for the 64 on drums. 2 years back I couldn't get any. I bored and sleeved them with stainless. Rubbers are available and I might have some pistons still. I can help you out but I'm around West OZ at the moment and won't be home for around 5 weeks.
