wiring diagram for 72 squareback


greeting one and all.
after a wiring diagram for a type 3 squareback on a 72 plate.
having fuel sender problems and need the paperwork.
all help is good help

Fuel senders are pretty much straight forward

sender wire goes straight to part on the rear of the gauge..

if it doesn't work.. try an earth wire [especially If You have had the tank out or painted...] to one of the screws holding the sender in.

Most likely part to fail is the sender...
it is wearing all the time the car is moving...

see if i can find a type 3 wiring diagram -- Here :

go to wiring diagrams then go down the list of buses, beetles, karmann ghias, type 3.. 1972

Now USA VWs usually have a different wiring diagram to other countries but the fuel gauge should be the same..
