Our bus has exactly that 16x7 rims. Aftermarket Mercedes, with holes drilles 1mm bigger to allow for bigger studs. :thumb

I think it is fair to say that I get just a little ....ermmm...excited over the American Racing Torq Thrust IIs

http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/wheels.asp?section=V

click on torq thrust IIs they come in 16x7...some of the other wheels are cool too.

Also check out http://www.wheelboyz.com.au  for some other stuff to get you....ummm...excited.

If only my discs were not in porsche pattern I'd be running those torq thrusts...now I'll just have to settle for 17in turbo twists :D

Better go have a cold shower now.

Hi twoguns,
are you sticking with wide 5 pattern (205 PCD) or changing to later model (114 PCD). Do you want to fit Mags or stay with the look you've got but in 16s. I'm cutting the centers out of a set of Merc Vito Van rims and fitting them into a set of 16x6 Ford F100 rims. They have the same center diameter. Then fitting 205R16 AT 4x4 tyres on them for my Baja Spitty.
Cheers, Ian.

ok so the 16"merc rim will accept my current 15 centres... this is what i am being told.

how wide are the merc rims. i am after 6.5 or 7". my stud pattern on the discs are late kombi at the moment with adapters for early five.

if this does all seem possible to adapt these merc rims then give me the details...

type3kid. rims are good. just profile to low for me. they are 195/50/15s and i am not keen on tyre wall. so thinkin to upsize rms.

I thought you had alloys on ya bus at valla. or was that the other one with black safaris? The one I'm thinking of had 4 wheel discs as well. I was VERY jealous. By the way are you the Welsh guy who I showed my rear adjusters to? I would definitely go with something nice and open to show off the discs....

Now I see. How the smegg could I have got youse confused? Marc's must have 4 wheel discs as well cos I saw them throught the spokes of whatever wheels they were behind...I suppose I was jealous AND confused.. Nice busses though and I did notice the 2 diffferent number plates..Ireckon all they both need is to be a bit redder and a bit chromier. They are both as lo as they need to be!!!

chromier.

thats what im wondering.

a bit more chrome with the mattblack... the white is good to set off the black. but i need a change.

marc has gone the black look. but he is doing an aluminium panel trim inside.

come to think of it. havent seen him on the site for a while. 59 bus where are you?:(

My wheels look like this. They are custom steel wheels with 195 45 ZR 15's
I still really like the original wheels.
