Noise
Driving my bus tonight, i turned the stereo down and i could here a slight whine type noise. Seemed worse when i was just cruising but pretty much
vanished when i put my foot down?
It 's there when i'm on about 40-60kms and when i get up to speed 80-100 don't hear it. Manily comes from the passenger side rear.
CV's make more of a clacking sound when stuffed?
Man this is all i need a week and a bit out of Valla

I have a similar problem in my early bay that is a whine type noise @ 60kph / 40Mph and I narrowed it down (after replacing all wheel bearings) to the
speedo cable drive in the front left wheel.
For some weird reason is develops a humm @ 40mph??
After all that bearing replacement - I gave up - getting slowly quieter again over time.
Strange creatures these vehicles.

Yeah took it for a drive this arvo and might be just me, but like you Scottkombi probably get more use to over time.
another question where the accelarator cable connects to the bracket that goes through the floor (in cab) anyone have a pic. I'm replacing my
throttle linkage that connects to peddle, and when i removed the old one the cable came loose from bracket. Just looks like the cable goes through
bracket hole, but i'm not sure what stops it from poping back out ( the bend in the end)?

The Z in the cable goes through the hole and the weight of the accelerator spring keeps it in place.
