Non VW, custom pushie
Yeah I know non VW but hey it says rides up there and it is aircooled!
Been making up custom pushies from stuff I pull off the local (Tip) Waste Management Facility for a few years. Here is a couple I finished recently,
inspired by one of my all time favourite movies "The World's Fastest Indian" If you haven't seen it go and do so, Anthony Hopkins, say no more!
The Worlds Slowest Indian and........................................................... the Worlds Lowest Indian!
Here's some pic's of the build process of the Slowest, took about 14months on and off from start to finish.
Here's some build pic's of the the Lowest Indian......
My Inspiration for this bike was this US built machine, Indian powered however very much a custom.

what weld wire do you use on these, just normal mild steel wire or special stuff to suit Hi-tesile steel?
Cheers

Pretty much old school where I live, arch welder with thin rods and the power turned down.
still blow the odd hole but strong enough and then its grind, bog and sand, so far so good!
Thanks for the nice compliments, best comment so far "where did you buy that" my reply she
wasn't bought she was built in a shed, a custom bike can't get a better comment!

Awesome looking rides, nice work fella. But I see you only have a front brake which made me think of a quote from the movie....
Warren: These brakes, they're completely inadequate.
Burt Munro: I'm planning on going, not stopping.

Pretty much finished this unit now, do have a couple of things I want to addd? Rear carrier on and lights working,
used two 4.5volt LED torches, bit frustrating they wouldn't wire in series only in parallel for some reason, so took
advantage of this a switch for each light so now I can have front or rear only or both.
Nice and bright those LEDs took her out at night way better than hanging on to a torch.
Nice but windy today, you can see the island flag flying over my bike.
