I've used weldwood carpet adhesive, seems to stick to anything.
had the same kit in a 68, glue held up well, just have a look at your local bunnings or trade store, they are around the $22 + make for 4 liters

I use tac adhesives brush on 205. best contact glue I have ever used and its manufactured in Dandenong. its what most of the pros use in
Melbourne.
