Sway Bar removal when lowering

Hi,

I have lowered my beetle with a narrowed beam. I fitted the stock sway bar and it is scraping when hitting driveways etc. Is it advisable to remove the sway bar or fit a narrowed sway bar that is bent up instead of hanging beneath the beam. LIKE THIS ONE

What have others done??

Cheers Flare
