[FS-TAS] 1966 Splitty Panel
Hey everyone,
I know I have advertised this van before but this time it's official as I have a new project on the way. I have gotten to the stage where there
isn't anything more I that I want to do to my beauuuuitful beautiful van.
-The body has JUST (in the past two months) been completely revitalised and perfected by my trusted local panel beater and mate and actual DSK member.
There ios absolutely no rust what so ever and the paint just looks phenomenal. Doesn't need another $$$ spent on it.
-All of the mechanicals have been restored by the local vw mechanic and maintaned by myself. This thing drives amazingly, the engine is an original
1960's German made engine that was bought by a tech college and hardly even ran. It has since had about 1200 km's after being installed in the
panel. The engine is really solid, much better than the crap repo's today. This is the og German made quality engine with minimal k's, probably
worth close to $5k on it's own. Get in and drive it around the country. Everything else mechanical wise is original but has been replaced with brand
new parts. Still running the original gearbox which is very solid and smooth, just replaced the gear shift bushings so it's all mint. It will
occasionally pop out of reverse but it's as simple as pushing it straight back in.
-The interior in the front cabin was just reupholstered like original. The rear of the van was always bare (as original) but I installed a full width
Rock and Roll bed and chucked some carpet on the floor to quieten the road noise and pretty things up.
-All the electrics work perfectly along with the speedo fuel gauge etc.
- It's breaking my heart to sell this thing but unfortunately certain circumstances force us to do crazy things. The panel draws attention every
where it goes, be warned you will have every bloke and his dog waving/staring/pointing/shouting/running alongside... It has been immensely loved and
looked after, I'll let the pics do the rest. I will upload more pics when I get it home. (Currently at panel beaters getting a few final touch ups.)
PRICE: $29,990

Sorry about the poor quality picture the split has been locked up in a shed while I've been away so I can't take any more pictures at the moment.
This is the best pic I could find of the rear. The back seat is in fact a rock and roll bed that I installed. The rear was completely bare and
original (as restored) but I decided to put the carpet and rear seat in to quieten down the engine noise and make it more versatile. But both things
can be pulled out quite easily to be put back to original
