What distributor?

I've got my rebuilt dual Kadrons back and am getting ready to fit them. I've currently got a Bosch 'style' vacuum advance distributor on and will be going back to the 009 as the carbs are not set up for the vacuum. I have a few questions....

1. I have an old distributor, that as far as my research tells me is a 'real' 009, it just needs a clean up.

2. Should I be keeping it standard with new points etc. or should I be looking to install electronic ignition?

3. If I'm going electronic what should I be considering and what should I be steering clear of at all costs?

The budget is limited......

Your onto it, run the 009, set total advance to 30-32*, fit electronic module if you have the coin/inclination. I use Compufire, but the Pertronix also seem reliable. At all cost do not fit any other.

Used compufire without an issue; keep the points etc handy though if anything should ever go bad
