Jetting 48 IDA's on 2.4 ish 914

I know I know... tough question, but just hoping some of the IDA peeps can give a sensible starting point for a friend's 914.

Unfortunately don't have engine exact specs (long story), but basically:
- freshly rebuilt 2.4 something
- K8 (300 duration, .500 lift ?)
- Mild porting job (suspect intakes only)
- CR in the 9.5'ish:1 kindof range.
- In a weekend and semi-track car, with plans to spin to 6000 or so.

Carbs currently have:
- 42 Venturi's
- 130 Mains
- 190 Airs
- 50/10 Idles
- F7 e-tubes

I don't have my hands on it (yet), but the dyno guy has been pulling his hair out with it... registering lean on A/F (13:1 @ WOT) but still apparently fouling plugs.

How similar are they to jet to IDF's ?

My first thoughts are venturi's a bit big, and would've thought more like a 60/10 idle, 155-160 main with the 190 air. Maybe F11 e-tubes.

Thoughts ?

Looks like typical 'non-volksie dude jetting. Go up in mains and idles, around 140+ and 55-60. AFR is prolly off idle stumble not getting cylinders cleanburning due to sync and idle tune

Yeah Matt - the jetting looked really weird to me too.

Everything I knew was saying needed to go larger, guess just not sure how different a beastie IDA's are from the IDF's I'm used to.

Thanks heaps the suggestion !!!

Never driven a 914 before, so looking forward to it being sorted and having bit of a fang...

Owner has gotten the car back today, and sheesh !!!

- "dyno guy" had bypassed the fuel pressure regulator since "it wasn't needed"
- the f7 e-tubes are actually f11's... not a big deal, but if someone can't correctly ID an e-tube, can they read numbers on jets ?
- the "50 idles" it had are actually marked 60... so obviously no - they can't read numbers on a jet !!!
