Had a fuel smell in front so out came the tank and fitted new electric fuel pump and brake hoses to master cylinder while tank was out. Last owner used lead wipe to fix hole in bottom of tank so flushed (lots) and blew out for 5 mins then cleaned and welded up that sucker, no leaks now.

Got my 30 year old tyres pulled off...Stripped the paint from my rims.... only to find a pair is from 1967 and the other a 1960 hence the slight blue colour difference. Then I decided to paint remove from my rear blinds. Put some stickers on the rear of engine and then..... the baby woke up. Then dreamed of doing more.

I found a new way of stopping a VW from going:mad: Been playing with the buggy and noticed that the accelerator wasn't moving much (buggy hasn't really been used a great deal recently) . Took off the cable and moved the pedal - fine, pulled on the cable and it was fighting all the way out of the tube so I decided to do a pull through using a piece of stainless steel wire with an oil soaked rag (only a little rag!) connected to the end. Well this rag is now solidly fixed at about the middle of the tube:( I do amaze myself that now after 40 years of playing with them I can still come up with something new.

LOL good luck to you. I would hate to be in that situation.

I tried a multi-strand cable and a drill and found a new way to make myself bleed from several places :td: I don't think I'm game enough to try acid with my sort of luck, I've got some different thicknesses of wire now and I'm going to just persevere. Maybe if and when I'm feeling a bit more brave I'll even attach a drill.
