Sorry no new pics as promised, PBB decided she hadn't seen the mechanic for a while and was due for a visit... just when I wanted a pic or two of her
new chromey bits!! 
Had to have the gear change bushing replaced, as trying to put her in reverse really tested my muscles.... I'm so glad it was something that could be
fixed! My mechanic rocks.

Well here's a bit more chrome on my PBB...
She loves it all!
She had to visit the mechanic on Thursday. The past few weeks I've been building my arm muscles just trying to get her into reverse gear. Not a lot
of fun! It was crunchy as getting it in, so she needed to have the gear shift bush replaced as the old one was screwed.
I still can't get over how short it is to shift into gears now, and there's no huge 'jolt' when she goes into L gear. It'll take me a while to
get used to I think! Shows too that it was pretty stuffed all along, but now she's perfect!!

Well, I've almost had my PBB for a whole year! Best year of my life car-wise I reckon, even with the ups and downs.
Anyway, she has some more chrome bits (of course!) and here they are:
I'd take a whole car photo of her but she's a bit self conscious, what with her fat tummy and impending arrival due soon... :P

ctefeh, the 'Automatic Stickshift' badge has been on my wanted list for aaaaages, and I found a NOS one a while back. I got the measurements for it
instead of being impulsive and just buying it, and I'm glad I did because it won't fit on my Bug since she has the chrome decklid vent thingies! :P

Those chomed fuel flap guards were on ebay {AUST} all the time a few months ago....
I don't know if they would fit Your fuel filler though,
as I have a 1971 fuel flap and it doesn't fit the 68 fuel flap
why VW changed the shape??? they look the same....
but don't fit... slightly different shape....
although the chrome bit may also fit Yours....
as they only go along the bottom and Up....
not all the way round.... maybe thats why....
I have got those shades over the top of the door glass but haven't fitted them yet....
I've never seen those ones near Your 1/4 windows...
It still looks great Laura....

I found a very shiny original chrome horn ring for my Bug, and it came with the horn button thing and both look brand new!
Will put them on this week and get some pics... it's beautiful! :P
