Well we tried for vids today and we had video breakdown. Somehow we paused when we should have played... or was that zigged instead of zagged...????
whatever ....gives us a chance to have another go tomorrow.

Quick update...made it to Dyno Mania 2011 with new old Haltech F7 fitted and tuned. Had a few detonation issues with the tune as she's got too much
compression, so needed to run retarded ignition and a 'special' fuel booster before we were happy.
Sorry, too few pics and sus quality, but always better than none

Well finally I've had time to work on the baja. The detonation issues have been fixed with the addition of one of these. What an excellent product.
Second one I've fitted so installation was quick. After 4 trips around my 'test track', a custom ignition map was tweeked to stop all detonation
and improve starting. She is running smooth as. At last I can use full throttle !!!!! During some preliminary checks I've had the cooling system off
and measured up the engine and she looks to be as expected 2980cc running 11:1 CR with 65cc ported 914 heads. The torque of this monster needs to be
experienced. 
The rear cage has been TIG welded and painted

Went out this arvo for a test in the bush. Slow speed crawling is AWESOME. The low gearing and big efi engine tractors over anything. The weight of
the huge tranny makes traction up the slopes and ruts unbelievable !!! Not sure I'll be actually on the beach with it yet, but if anybody wants to
come for some fun in the bush I'm in. I'll come down to the ferry altho thats a bit tempting then @#?&#
The big bummer today, got towed home, .... fuel delivery issues, as silly as a filter fitted upsidedown created an airlock on the big hill we were on,
that and the hot starting still was an issue, so some more tweeks to the ignition maps seem to have improved it.
More testing required
Had h in his buggy and Casey in the coolest modified country buggy I've seen. I forgot the camera but I'm sure some pics will appear.

Here's a vid I took when a mate took his girl for a quick blocky in the baja. I expected him to turn into the drive where I was standing, but he saw
the camera and decided to blast past me, half on the road and half over the gutter. The camera work and comentry give you an idea that things were not
to be as expected. He then turns around so I reposition myself as the
driver has proven himself to be untrustworthy  and he short shifts into
second and nails second and third gears in quick sucession, then dives onto the brakes to make my driveway, while I struggle with pulling back the
zoom .... I must get out with an experienced camera
operator.......enjoy (click the photo)
