Being dry sump I didnt get oil from the rockers covers, more so from the breather on the oil tank and crank case. The new engine want have breathers on any rocker covers just the case

Always wanted to have a close look at a dry-sump setup.... A buddy has just gone that road with his sprint Dub....

Anyway.... I had one of those cast ali breathers.... Found it wasn't up to the task for my engine.... It never over flowed or anything, it just never sealed properly around the cover..... And there was no blow-by issues with my engine, but there seemed to be a good amount of crankcase breathing and huffing going on, so kinda think it's more down to higher rpm that my engine produces.... Only a small engine (1776), but rev's like a mad thing.... 7500rpm which is a lot for a turbo engine.... I'd run that one you have and see how it goes.... Easy to update if it's not up to the task.

My last run sucked/blew the gaskets in due to lack of breathing. This is my priority for the Turbo now I have better rocker covers.
Latest craze I believe is big arse breather on the case. You'll find current one is inadequate but this also depends on boost. Go big early.

Your right Stanley, that's why I put a 1 1/4 breather off the case, stopped oil leaks with bigger breathers

I had 4 x 1" breathers on Joint Effort , it saw 8500 rpm without any oil issues. N/A 2165cc

use a total seal 2nd ring.
you use a turbo so you don't have to rev your motor as much

http://www.et-performance.com/turbo.html
Maybe give serious thought to one of these set-ups. I used them on KTM big singles and high-rev Ducati's, both of which oil-mist up badly, a little 1/2" Krankvent fixed it straight away. They work well.
The Holley650 seems a bit big to me. You could tune it in OK for the track, but a 465 Vac/Sec with the secondaries boost referenced (vacuum diaphragm reversed on the actuation arm) would give much snappier response, even a 600Vac/Sec. Each to their own, some prefer mech sec, but the vac/sec set-up can provide natural progressive fuelling that is boost referenced.
Carter pumps are 5psi internally regulated, and are 5psi even at over 100GPH (the black elec ones are the go) through 3/8" lines, no return, no boost reference (dead-head), the duck's guts for Holley streeters up to 300rwhp, no annual rebuilds needed (and no, they're not painted blue..........).
Just a few more points to consider!

Hey Mick, sounds like a great idea.
Even though I am a N/A fan, you cant beat the value of a boosted engine.
Hell, I ran boost for 11 years, so I know it can be fun!!

I would just de-compress your engine a little, and add some good dual springs.

Like anything, there are always more , or better ways to do things,
but for a budget build, your cam will work fine.

If you had some extra money burning a hole in your pocket,
I would consider a larger exhaust valve though.

Thanks Dave, good to hear you think its a good idea! Dual springs were on the cards regardless... once we start setting it all up we'll be in contact regarding compression and all. I think we'll set it up with the heads as they are for now and see how it goes, maybe down the track we might look into bigger valves... i certainly dont have extra money burning holes in my pockets! Just out of curiosity though, what would it cost??

I also love N/A but for the money i couldn't in my lifetime afford to get real power from a N/A motor i dont think. I mean really... whats better than the sound of a tough N/A motor ripping off a skid on the limiter???

the best thing about a turbo is the little screw on the boost control. our goes from about 7 to 18 , not sure if we even going to try 18
