Oh man
Just got Pige out to give her a sponge bath. Its been raining for day's over here and everything is soaking wet, the sun made a token apperance
yesterday, but is full on today and you can feel that the humidity is going to be shocking for the next couple of days as the water evaporates back
into the atmosphere. Everything has that damp feel about it!

well looks like we just added another vw to the stable.
A 1975 kombie that is so low I had trouble getting my head under it to look at the under neath lucky the guy had pit.
This guy we bought it off has a panel beaters and is a vw nut. Has a notch stashed away, a late model beetle with a commodore front end in it and get
this a KG in pieces with hily polished porsch rims on the finished floor pan.
He reckons he hasn't finished with the KG yet but I don't know I reckon if I pester him enough he'll cave in. And then we'd have the full set.
(and a divorce)
Kombie is in pretty good nick has had all the work done for a roadworthy and even comes with a spare motor and gearbox. I've already bagged the
gearbox. He' said he might throw in a pair of cookie cutters which would fit the notch nicely I think. If they'll polish up.
Man I need a bigger shed.
Congrats on finishing up Zac
and Mandie Amy rules *well she did* until those whiny sheilers voted her off.

Hey Rob....were you far enough away from the rivers to avoid the floods up north....sounds like it was just the rain that you got...
It must be an all round things....we've had incredible downpours n storms here....some flooding....then when the sun comes out again it is so
humid...just like the tropics.....so unusual for Melbourne...a whole week of it
Must admit I'm not missing a radio in Bel....and I'm finding she is noisier with the rag top in but not a problem for me...she's so cool...I missed
her VW dak dak sounds....I've got whistling now too...think it's the solid exterior visor lol

So your kids are grown and back home for Chrissy so you not go away?
I'm working except for the main public holidays....it's our busy time of year in travel
Then when I was nursing I worked lots of Chrissies...I enjoyed it...used to do a Christmas eve dinner if I worked Christmas Day...I like it better
anyhow...more relaxed eating the big meal in evening before n not so hectic Christmas day when kids were little...time to relax n play with them
Wow never been away for Christmas for a long time...oh well...next year

Yup
have to come in Chrissy and boxing days...just to check on the ships ETA's and make sure all is secure. The Coal Terminal is closed for the 2 days
but someone (me) still has to come in. Hopefully there won't be any ships in berth (8 berths in all) Then monday is a normal 12 hour day cause we
are open for business again. No big deal.

My kids are only young...all girls oldest is 7 and next 2 (twins) are 5. Great age and they are a lot of fun and really into Santa this year,
'specially since he sent them a letter and knew sooooo much about them and what had happened to them this year ! |
