Success, compressed air didn't work but flexible rod with end flattened spadelike then attached to a drill did Now I just have to get the trolley jack out from
underneath my sons' Skyline and my buggys' battery back from his baja and I'm all ready to go ........................... I think?

Pulled the transmission out of No.8 Beetle. Just need to take those beautiful swing-axles out, and pack it up ready for transport.
Because of the cold weather here, I'm sending the 'box' away for a holiday in Queensland [Gold Coast]. When it comes back it will be a lot
stronger.
Should see it next week, Dave.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Some mates and I finally changed my front wheel bearings on the S-Bug. The left inner race was really welded on there pretty well! Even after heating
it and removing it with a chisel, there were still chunks left permanently fused to the stub axle.
We also put on a strut brace which I got from Seb. I was surprised to find that a couple of the strut mount nuts were only finger tight!

Finally got my vintage speed exhaust, did a dummy fit up, headers went straight on, really pleased, box is a bit of a tight fit, I will need to get
the multigrips out and modify a couple of lips on the inner guards. It all fits up inside the beaver tail really well doesn't hang down all that far,
I ordered it without the tail pipes fitted as I want to try a different look, so this is the next challenge not just fitting the pipes but matching
the welds, Ive never seen tig welding so perfect.

Not me but my son Mick bought a new battery because of his starting problems only to find it was his starter playing up but thanks to Matt Berry a new
bearing was sourced> Matt , if you're reading this Michael has been squeezing that bearing for at least 2 hours but hasn't seen any oil come
through yet?!

Made up a dummy tail pipe for the new vintage speed box, looks great so out with the hole saw and cut two new inlet holes into the box, ordered some
stainless bends to fabricate the final product, had to modify the inner guards to accommodate the tailpipes but works a treat. Spent the last few days
fitting fuel hoses, connecting wires and making brake pipes, getting very close to start up day. Least it has kept my mind off what colour bloody
interior I want !!!!!!!!

Cleaned and tightened the oil pressure sender connection. Much easier than engine teardown
Gauge was fluctuating wildly with throttle so must have shared earth with air/fuel ratio.... Thought I'd busted the lil screamer
