Dino-final run gave me 341 hp at the wheels with 18lbs boost. It has a lot more in it after I get used to it

Yes-hoping it scares the shit out of me.I have finished rolling and folding the 4 side pieces, made new top panels and sanded everything before I
worked with it.A lot easier to sand when it's still a flat piece of ally.I made some templates tonight for the rear spoiler, and decided on this shape
for the sides.I have folded a narrow piece for the actual spoiler which is the final shape. Will use that to give me all the correct angles for the
actual panel I will use.Last piece of the puzzle will be the back panel.I will have to allow some room for wheely bars to poke through if they are
needed.

341hp... Good going. Think your going to need the wheelie bars.
That's the same hp as Adams turbo coral oval. You guys should line them up.
Well done

Thanks Dave-I'm really pleased with the end result with the body.Discovered last night the push rod tube drama was actually a bent pushrod which
pushed the ally tube out of shape and pushed out the seal.Made another push rod and fitted the OG tubes that Autocraft use.Funny thing is-the seals on
the other side of the motor are all OK-none have gone soft.Am going to fit the new Elring seals anyhow.Don't know why the pushrod bent in the
middle-the thickest part of the tapered tube.Maybe too much spring pressure. It ended up with 480 Lbs at 0.500" lift. All the others are perfect.

Gary , I would like to see you reduce the spring pressure if you can . If this was one of the manton dual tappered pushrods , Let me have a length as
I have multiple incomplete sets here and I can give you one if you need one , ROD.

Yeah 480 plus lbs will test those thin autocraft pushrods, and is probably unneccesary.(but not unheard of)
Mine used to bend on the end, but only if I floated it,
or had a lot of hot lash with the Autocraft cam grinds.
There was a batch of those that missed heat treatment about 10 years ago, so that one may be like those.
If you cant drop the pressure, step up to the newer thick walled ones that are made by manton and sold through CB performance.
Rod may have a whole set as mentioned above.

I bought 2 sets from Autocraft a couple of years ago. I remember when I was punching in one of the ends, the tube got a split for about 40mm down one
end. They are very thin in the wall. Will get onto CB's and order a set of the Manton ones- thanks for the heads up Dave.

Dave-I just checked CB's website, the only C/M ones they have are dual tapered and look very much like the ones I alreadey have.I have finished the
rear of the ute body now.The rear panel will do until I can come up with a better idea. The small hinged flap at the top will let out any trapped air.

Hi Gary,
Nice job on the ute, regarding the back panel you should of set the rear wing over the end of the rear gate as I think your going get wash off the
back that circulates and will suck you backwards thus slowing you down. There is lots of information about this and you could also talk to Mike from
MV about it as he races a ute and has also had to overcome this.

I will wait until I get some paint on it b4 I decide if I need to make something different. Once some stickers go on it- could be OK. Yeh- made a
mistake with gooseneck- also forgot to use RHS- guess it won't become a tow vehicle.
