Looking good Troy - I know these sorts of builds have a timeline of "its finished when its finished ($/time)" status....but any goals for completion? Sydney or Warwick 2013 maybe? Gotta have a goal I guess :)

Al I think his goal is Warwick this year all going well with finance and no unforeseen hiccups or holdups. But if it doesn't make it then Sydney 2013 for sure.

Here's a few pics I took today of the car as it stands progress wise. It will be off the Westside customs in the next couple of weeks for some fabrication work and a few other jobs which Troy doesn't possess the tools to be able to complete.

Car pretty much ready to be transported to Sydney. It will be at the Sydney event but NO it want be racing, it's going to Westside for some more work.

Very nice job Troy.
What pistons are you using? I have not seen forged with such big chambers.... Very good for high boost. Was also looking for some (off the shelf) pistons with big dishes, when I rebuilt my turbo engine. (It makes the pistons very strong in the ring land area, as it protects the rings against detonation. It takes most of the combustion away from your rings and ring lands). The top ring that sits a bit low (away from the piston crown) is also a good idea when using high boost. (like on your pistons).

Good to see the progress Troy !!!

Headlights on the front clip look different somehow... are they projecting further out from the guard than usual ???

I kinda like the stretched look that it's gotten... and combined with the rubber on the back it looks seriously baddass IMHO.

Hermann, yes they are cp pistons with total seal rings. The deep dish is around I think 40cc so will work well with high boost. Sides, the front clip is a mould from Dave stoker I think and it needs some fiberglass work as the guards have some odd shapes making the wheels look further forward then they are.

After looking at pics again it does make the front look kinda stretched especially with the angle I took the pics. Front does need work as it does fit where it touches in some spots and it will need a fair make over to get it fit nicely.

Yep Dave it is going to be badass. Trust me on that one. Troy is looking forward to some seat time!!!

Troy weighed the car at wsid on he weekend and from memory it weighs as it sits at 538kg which is pretty light considering the cage is steel no cromoly!! Once westi is finished doing some more work it'll prolly weigh in around the 600kg mark so with the hp Troy is wanting out of it this thing should be pretty damn quick!!

I know intake manifolds were getting re made but Brad is in the middle of moving workshop and a re fit of new equipment as well. You know if stocko turns up at the workshop there will be pics galore lol
