Ha ha! i wouldn't mind... i'd just have to figure out a way to stick it in the back of my beetle! Any way, Aaron has had a look at the turbo and he seems to think it will be ok to use! and apparently the waste gate is a good one... so look out turbo town, here we come! just need to save a few pennies for a few things i need then full steam ahead providing nothing goes wrong in the meantime. If The dyno day goes ahead this year we'll take it down in NA form as i'm still really keen to see what it does.

Good news.... Windage in the crankcase is under control then.... Excellent. Do you have the crankcase E-Vac setup that AJ sells?

Due to my current workload and a few other issues and Pete's health I don't think I can commit to the time needed to make it happen. Would need a lot of help from a lot of people for it to go ahead this far into the year. Contact me if your interested.

Sorry to Hijack your thread mate. :)

We could do... I'd have to have a good excuse to spend money on the dyno before we do the work though! An official dyno day was a good one....

Dragged the bug out of the shed today, cleaned it up and took a couple of snaps of it with the new bonnet.... I ended up just telling him to do whatever he wants. After all, it was free and he just wanted something to get him back into it. I'm chuffed, it wont be everyones thing but i like it! As you can see the blue bonnet is still there in the background.... cant bring myself to throw that bad boy out

He has the decklid at the moment, it might take a while because i think he's a bit pissed at me! He did the doors too but i was unhappy with them so i re-sprayed them... His work was fine but my ideas didnt really turn out how i wanted them too... it looked shit. I think he'll be over practicing by the time you get up here!

With warwick fast approaching i now decided its time to do something on the car.... Is it just me or do everybodys cars look like this when there is an event coming up!? I will hopefully have some more parts on there way from Rod pretty soon.. we are gonna squeeze more out of the little 1916 before we go turbo!

All i can say is Dave is going to be rather busy right up till jamboree!

Got some ugly old heads from rod! Gonna chuck em on and see what happens..... they are welded and ported vw heads 42x37.5 My current heads are unported 044's 40x35. We ported the heads out just a smigin more to match the manifolds perfectly. Hopefully we'll have it all together and back in the car by friday night....

With Daves car now running and sounding sweet! we managed to get my engine back together and ready to bolt in on sunday.... With a late night dash to Cols place, we picked up the required offset air cleaner bases we needed to get it together... Thanks Col, you're a legend! Where else could you get a pair of offset aircleaner bases at 10 pm on a friday night! The manifolds are huge so there was alot of cutting and modifying of the tins to get it all to fit!
