Not just driver tuning as Chris & me found out yesterday ...... we did final preparation on Chris Bolton' bug for the Warwick VW Drags ..... set-up & adjusted the 2-step launch control & all appears to be good ..... we are seeing 5-6psi boost @ 5000rpm on launch & we can adjust it up from there
The way the MSD was previously set-up when Chris drove his bug & used the launch control , the engine had NO boost when it left the start line . I have made adjustments and now have boost prior to the launch .
We went to test the launch & the new staging brake (turning brake) failed . We removed & stripped the brake assembly to discover that a couple of small seals have an allegic reaction to brake fluid . I replace the seals & bleed the brakes , all is good . This would have been so inconvenient if it had of decided to fail on the weekend of the drags .
Chris then did a few launches & he is very happy with the whole package ..... should be fun for him

We had an interesting day today.attended the nsw championship final round. Almost didnt due to it raining in wollongong. We thought it would be in sydney also. Anyway we ended up going up late. Wayne will be posting a full summary of our day. I had 2 runs.
1st one
60' 1.467
1/8 6.186
9.612 @ 141.5

2nd
60' 1.838
1/8 10.154
17.071@ 53.02

Conclusion.... gunna need a better clutch lol. After watching video footage of 1st run i saw how much clutch slip i had(didnt even turn wheels much in burnout). Then on 2nd run had very little clutch at all as seen by times. In al i am stoked at the new pb and excited that there is still more improvement to come with some improvements to the clutch
