I still claim that yesterday counts...

I fanged cr@p out of Jezzi at Mt Cotton again... 50.00 the best of my 9 runs... sooooo close to backing up my 49, but still good enough to disappoint the 2 quick Escort's and Cortina that were chasing in my class.

Beer glasses as trophies are such a great idea !!!

:D

EDIT: Plus I celebrated over a coldy with Ian and Dave O who were both in my shed getting the new engine into the Club Fasty.

Got the car ready for scrutineering and Club Plates. Installed the headlights, managed to get the eyelids to work with the Rossis... might still need a little tightening up. Installed new sun visors, and front bumper. Took some cool photos at my office (a 1960s style building).

** UPDATED PICS... Broke down that night... silly me didnt have a spare generator belt (no I wasnt wearing any stockings that night lol) so had to get towed. Oh well... thank God for RACV.

Got in a yoga type position and sprayed fertan up in behind the split's dash. Easy spot for the old rust cancer to start as it's one of those out of site places.

then general check over before the trip to Warwick Saturday morning.

Big thanks to Matt Berry Motorsports for super fast postage on parts and advice (some of which I should have known!!!!) which got me sorted

What didn I do to my VW today? Well it goes like this ! After salvaging the ole Oval in 08 and spending many an hour on it I finally stuck fuel down its throat stuck spark up its Rs and got noise out the exhaust. Pretty happy, the odd oil leak, fixed needs a fine tune but overall happy as the proviable pig in shot.

- Installed early style wipers
- Installed chrome stone guards on front fender.
- Installed OG stainless steel trims to replace crappy aftermarket ones.
- Installed a dual base antenna just a tad too close to the window vent
- Gave it a wash and took it for a burn to Williamstown

Next i might have a crack at doing some bodywork/painting before Day of... clean up that damaged fender and clean up the stone chips.

No there isn't, luckily the rust was only in the sills and one outrigger this is from passenger side the only part common to split vans is the inner sill I found a local sheet metal guy to fold up the sections and I am fabricating the parts from these
good fun
