I made a bronze bush to replace the plastic one.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/WestiLutchArmBush.jpg

Unfortunately as seen previously there was a lot of damage and poor workmanship inside the USA tranny.
Not even the superdif could be saved.
The spiders had welded themselves onto the shafts,
an inturn it sheared off the roll pins and munched up the houing,
The schrapnel was even galled up on the out side of the side gears!!

But now onto happier out look of the future.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/WestiMotherLode3.jpg

In this shot you can see the dual billet ERCO side covers.
They are a little more expensive than your run of the mill cast side covers,
but enable the EXTRA through bolt conversion to be done to the Rhino case.

I will post some more progress over the next week or so if that is OK Westi?

Do you have a source down there for the 15mm sized M8 nuts and washers?
I would like to use some to retain the side covers and intermediate housing.
I need 26 of them.
Used is OK, but perhaps new ones might look spiffy?

In the pics so far are:

Rhino Case

Dual ERCO Billet side covers

Aluminium spool (good skids now!)

Billet 4-bolt retainer

Timken thrust bearing

Pinion Bearing

Thrust plate for under nose cone

New bronze reverse fork

Mainshaft set with super duty 1&2 gears(closer ratio than stock)

And the steel Hybrid hub.

Not in the photo are the close ratio 3rd and 4th gears out at welding.

dave ,do you know the difference between a flow benches that have 10' of water as compared to 28',the only reason i ask is because my heads were done at 28'' and they don't match the reading's i am getting @10'.
any info would help.

To convert any pressure drop,
divide one by the other,
and then square root your answer.

So if you flow at 10" like I do,
28 divided by 10=2.8
square root 2.8
=1.67332
This is your multiplier.

So if you got say 125cfm @.650 lift,
multiply the 125 by 1.67332
=209.165cfm @28"

Just out of interest
a fellow once told me that the figure he got with 25" was closest to his HP number
on a Superflow dyno with his V8 engines.

Mine is no where near this number, with the slow air speed I have,
I would never say my motor in anywhere near optimum, both in design and tune.

Hope wifey was OK!

Any 15mm nuts would be fine(and thick washers too) in M8.
It would be a shame to separate a set of studs from their nuts,
The ones I have seen were just black coated VW ones anyhow.

Anyone know where I can buy bulk nuts and washers?
