Update
Mactaylor, you'll be happy to hear, mining has once again commenced.
Thanks to Paul at Crankykits, my engine can now be reliably started. What a difference that little tiny (only fed rice) startermotor makes.
So during the week the continuing saga of getting this thing somewhat more reliable began.
I've had front end steering shimmy like a bloody strut bug, who'd a thunk it, this thing has suspension modeled on tractor engineering (hope you
liked that one Steve), but with the slight rear down attitude it had 7.5* of castor, so I pulled the shims, also tweaked the toe and it's 99% better.
The last issues feel totally due to the old rims not being 100% straight.
I had also bartered for a set of new rear tyres, hopefully curing my imtermittant rear tyre deflation system. Tyres went on at 4pm Friday, I had by
then the weeks work on customer cars finished so a few essentials went in the back and I hit the beach just before high tide as evening fell to join
the early crew of the Manx Buggy Club Double Island weekend assault.
Twas such a beautiful day I couldn't resist a baja shot or two as I left this morning.

Bob, after you've cleaned your undies, tell us if you enjoyed your 'off-road' excursion. After all we know you normally cruise in low-riders.

Yep...burried that foot at Warwick a few times. Muddies certainly have a few traction issues on the drag strip......
We had a great weekend, I'd like to say thanks too, to the track officials, to Craig Hughes who took the piss out of me at presentation and making me
feel even worse attempting to be coherent whilst public speaking, to the racers and spectators and everyone else that makes it an event.
As usual the event ran like clockwork and at least from our perspective couldn't be better. Every one in our camp had a great time and there were no
breakages to report. A few minor glitches was all, me with a CV circlip issue making me think I had a broken CV or axle when I did my first practice
launch early sat. Made me miss the cruise into town but was better then than on the track. Tony had a miss fire that was a little fan eating MSD
wiring issue that once rectified his 2276 ran faultlessly, Damo and Col both had trouble free days and I won the VW Special class.
