Yes there is a hell of a lot of work that goes into doing up these old girls and I don't beleive the novices have any idea how much is involved. I
now have more appreciation of the prices some ask for their cars that have been restored, of all varieties.

Yes you are right, it's not only affecting old cars, even new cars, but I know it was worse before, I mean the cars was even more vunerable than the
new ones. Not much rust protection and even use of recycled metal that included old rust. Many newer is galvanized and made in aluminium with plasic
all over the sides and fenders.
If we compare many other old cars to our vee dubs I think our cars are pretty strong anyway.
I have a little question about your speedometer.
I might have missed the information somewhere so please excuse me if so. I guess those nice guages are Ultra Lite, but where do i find them? I can
only find the speedometer in MPH, but of cause I need it in Km/h like yours. Do you have a link to them or something?
And yes you are a celebrity in world class now

Now you've done it, Handy....Kev will need to get bigger hats now.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Just be careful, if Kev's ego gets too big his lovely Dub will end up looking like this.

Robski, I think I might need one of those already for my large forehead
Handy, I bought the gauges years ago form egauges.com but they don't seem to have them still. I just found this on ebay, so you can still get them.

Thanks Kev
I've seen them on ebay, unfortunately it looks not exactly in the right way. I might be very fuzzy with the details, I noticed that the Km/h is typed
KPH and that disturbs me a lot. Anyhow, I think I will find something sweet when it's time for that, an option might be to replace the scale (is that
the correct word?) or make my own with Km/h.
Thanks again
