Do you need stainless tube for your water lines as I have some in my yard from a subi conversion I pulled out of a dual cab

Hey Colonel,
My wife reckons I won't be happy unless I've done it all myself (or more correctly paid for it all myself) with the car I bought first, rather than
taking short cuts by buying other cars. Those who have already travelled the path say you should take every opportunity that presents. But what would
you do if you didn't have the Mustard any more? You'd have to change your name by deed poll. BTW how's the camera going?
Mick, your legacy lives on, in multiple vehicles
Dave, do you think we've hijacked your thread enough now?
Cheers

It's not hijacking, its encouraging! Just go hey dave, check this link - ... http://www.germanlook.co.uk/
(and he loves it!)
I know what you mean about colonel mustard... so many people think im crazy and should get rid of him, and its a waste of money and time.... I tell
them that they should stop doing stuff they like, cause its a wate of time and money... "well that's different"... they can never explain how,
funny that.
I think i agree with your wife, it would be cheating if i just grabbed a car half done off ebay... (that and i would keep the current one, and spend
more money, now that is a issue!)
Camera is going well, still learning, and trying to figure stuff out, when i can afford a computer of my own (with some sort of editing
program....even if its just to crop..) i might have some decent photos up

66deluxe, what size stainless? could be keen, was going to use ally but for the right $$ i may change my mind...
hellbugged, pulled some stuff off the EJ today/tonight, typical midnight finish to the day, gasket hole size against port size... theres about 3mm
extra all round available for porting.... my thoughts were along the lines of hmmm... is it too late to call DB about this option....
boss lady says no, leave it stock for now.
& i followed with exactly that, forgiveness is easier to get than permission
-theres too many daimos on here, almost as bad as daves
ian... the most obvious solution is get a bigger garage

yeah do the porting! if you have a rotary grinder and some carbide bits i think you will find it easy enough to do it your self. I can put up some
how to links if you like........did you get decent gaskets for all of the exhaust yet?..............i was super impressed with the grimmspeed and
found a good supply on ebay to

Hi Damo
I would like see your how too links on manifold porting.
If you buy a someone else's project its a real good short cut, but the feeling of doing it ALL yourself isn't there.
The guy that bought my bug never enters shows, I guess he would get more people saying "isnt that Steves old car"

TVG delete......
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZNNVwgYKFY
the little red scourer pads they use towards the end of the vid for final polishing are unreal! worth tracking some down for this type of stuff.
https://www.grimmspeed.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=...
I thought they would have had the exhaust vid up by now.I believe they will be doing it soon, but i will search out the pics i saw. There are a few
shots and descriptions on the GRIMMSPEED site........if all else fails i will do some pics of the notch's getting done
their oil/air seperator looks good for us, as does the "fail open" 60' thermostat.....heaps of gear there!
I was very happy with grimmspeed's service and products on the things they sent for the notch........just waiting on some restocking to get the rest
we need

hey daimo.... guess whos got most of the gear in that vid
tempting to do some home porting, but that means an engine tear down, where do you stop though?? while its apart, ahh well while im here get some I
beam rods, ej25 crank, tomei cams turbo & quad throttle body... the list goes on
hey DB, how hard would porting be for me to do at home? & how likely am i to stuff it up

seeing clearance for 5bar kit for the body box/starter/clutch slave cyl... etc
and another
Oh, the tow car can actually tow now, strange looking hitch too, kinda like a hayman but slots in from below not behind, take the tongue out & you
wouldnt know it was there
toying with Boof's air intakes in the guards ducted to the intercooler too...
thanks to DB for these guards, lets mine stay pretty while i experiment
anywho, i have house hunting to do, beelte is getting a new home shortly, i hope....
more later hopefully

ah. mega side air scoops.... could fit an intake air filter in behind there, with your awesome air flow meter... and on the other side, a small rad
for water to air...
You are a thinker sides.
p.s, thanks for those parts, I got my tie rod ends and ball joints
today! and i survived the eagle farm roadworks!
