Looking good Dave,
Have you gone for one per port or two staged, primary down low and secondary up top would be ideal.

Nice one Dangerous. Holds the power above 215ish hp from about 6500-8500k which is very handy.Inlet temp also relatively nice and cool too and almost
the same as ambient temp.

Every pull we did we went to the 8400 rev limit,
and did two at each session to confirm consistency....15 tests in all.
The first interesting thing was the 13hp gain when the oil was nice and warm.
The first pull (not on the sheet) was 206,
and then 220.8 peaking about 7400, but still just under 220 past 8000.(purple on the graph).
This is as I ran it with my best time of 11.00@121.46.
Next, without any fuel system changes, the long ram tubes.
WOW! Radical curve!
Quite obvious in orange, is that the longer rams were best suited to a peak power around 6250.
But the engines' combination of parts tried to bring back the power again later.
In Blue, with the nozzles moved up high, it smoothed things out,
but still the power wanted to be lower at about 6700, and only 219.2.
The next step was to cut the tubes,
and I went about 15mm longer than the original short tubes.(took out about 150mm)
The extra 15mm was for two reasons.
One was the roughness of the emergency hacksaw cutting,
and the other was because I was not sure about where to measure the length from,
being how large the new radii is.
Nozzles still mounted high.
Anyhow, power of 220.8 returned, but its peak was 8200(pink graph).
The power at 6000 was good but it gained very little until it was nearly at the limiter.
Once the nozzles were moved back down to the lower position, the power jumped to 224,
at about 7800, and this is the same combo, as I last raced but the new ram tubes in short length.
(green Graph).
Last constructive test was to lean off mixture by 0.002" and this picked up almost everywhere
except a bit either side of 7000.
225.5 @8000 was the result, but it was still above 220 right up until it hit the 8400 limit.
I did try one step leaner but the pill was a different brand,
and it showed richer even though it was meant to lean it off.
So that last run was aborted.
Very constructive day and still looking over the chart and my notes.
Very interested how the longer ram tubes actually moved the POSITION of the power peak by so much.
But quite obviously the combination of cam and heads wanted it to be higher.

Dave i can back up what you discovered with yuor oil temp figuers.
When blue and i dynoed my car last we always got the car to 80degrees before mashing the throttle. After we finished i wanted to see if a lower oil
temp made any difference. Because in hillclimbs especially your first run its hard to get temp into your oil, so we tried a run at 60 degrees, down
13rwhp, very enlightening
Again congrats great result
Cheers Col.

Some upgrades planned for next year:
I ordered just the bare castings.
I am hoping to use most of the parts from my old heads in these.
The plan is to increase the air speed compared with my Pauter heads.
Looking at the 'as cast' ports, I have a lot to do.
Look how small the exhaust hole is in the chamber side!
