Dyno Update, Had another interesting dyno session today, made good power topping at 250Hp @ 20 psi and around 5500 rpm. He backed off early because I
asked him not to exceed 20 psi as I was not 100% happy with the fit of the intake manifolds which ended up biting me in the arse. What happened was
when the plenums were bolted to the new heads they were 5/10mm further apart so when I attached the "basically solid" Y peice in between them it
pulled the plenums towards each other and even had trouble sealing when it was dead cold let alone all warmed and stretched up on 20 pound. 4th run in
the lh hand gasket blew out at 20 psi and sprayed methanol out which then caught fire. Matty saw this on his live camera behind my car and quickly
shut it down and the flames soon burnt themselves out. Could have been a major drama on the track so thats why dyno sessions can be invaluble when
sorting a car like this. Oh and to top it all off as I was undoing the nuts on the manifold I managed to put the spanner through the side of it so now
I've got to take it to Aaron's tonight and have it welded We
are modifying the intake system to take two flexible joints and will hit the dyno Wed next week and if all goes well willowbank wed night before the
big trip south...
Cheers Dave!

we drive to Sydney so we don't have to listen to him

Got a bit done today on the car as well, picked up my plenums from Aaron last night. He did a great job building up the thin sections inside and out.
So today I hand filed the surface where the nut seats to match the mating surface to the head and to allow just enough room for an 8mm nut with a 12mm
hex to go on. I tried to leave as much thickness as i could for some strength. I Also test fit the now seperated intake pipe with the silocone
'bump' hose. It all fits really well and should work a treat.
Cheers Dave!

Got the car going today after pressure testing the intake system and just had a couple of squirts up the driveway and she was turning the Tyres very
easily...
Dyno session tomorrow at 12.00 is a go. Going to turn down the boost a little as its making 20psi at only 5000rpm, prob lock it off at 18psi then
willowbank tomorrow night if that goes well!!
Cheers Dave

F*#k it! Torched a head today on the Dyno, at Aaron's right now having it welded and Butler is waiting patiently to machine it tonight then going to
throw it all together and see if it runs. If it does I will make the trip to Sydney but that's a big IF!

Finished welding up the head and now it's at DB's to be machined.
Also cleaned and flowed Daves ID 2000's injectors. # 1 inj is 15ml down on a 30sec cycle at 3 milliseconds @ 5000 rpm. Which is a lot!!
#2 inj was ok, that's the cylinder that got to hot???
