Hi

Some kilowatts were found today. My car was just below the DB limit on a DB meter, to be on safe side I stuffed some chicken wire up the exhaust, I thought it had been removed, it was found to be still in place, I think some of my missing kilowatts are here.

Hi

I'm hoping that it fixes a few issues, another dyno is booked for Tuesday.

Its going in to have a few paint blemishes fixed after the drags.

where did you get the fluid cooler from? looks like a good idea to get the overflow back to the tank at a lower temp.

And you'll need to find a few more kgs of chicken wire now that I have both turbos working......

oh, great photos too! car actually does look orange!

So Lou do you want me to stick chicken wire up your exhaust so I can keep up with you?

I bought the cooler on Ebay there is one on there now http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221121010783?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=...

okay, that's the guys at Toombul. I get a few bits and pieces from them as well and they are not far from my place. got my window net, fuel fittings, roll cage foam, race boots and socks, and a few other bits.....good guys there.

as for the chicken wire, nah, you probably still got the upper hand; your older (more experianced), you got struts -more cmaber, and heaps of electronical wizardry in that beast of yours.....

looks like a great run on the dyno Steve.

I gather you upped the boost from 15-16psi to around 20psi to get the final figures. Are you going to ran that as standard pressure or do you have a boost controller so you can back it off for day-to-day running?

shouldn't have any trouble doing a burn-out at the weekend then.....

Hi

MSEdyno 2 is high and low boost settings on the e Boost 2, blue is low, red is high. MSEDyno 1 is just two different runs.

The E boost 2 defaults to lower setting which is about 16 psi on start up, I need to select the higher setting if I want it.

Its a heavy car so I will see how it goes on the weekend.

Thanks guys,

I'm not sure how to compare flywheel torque to torque at the wheels, this was the result that the tuner had predicted, I'm pretty pleased as this is a stock low kilometre motor and will last a long time, so apart from changing cams or turbos or even stroking it out to 2.2 this is it.

If I can do a 13.0@103mph with only 8psi boost & 152kw @ the wheels, taking it easy off the line

u will do an easy 12 with 20psi boost & 204kw! U could do a 12 in reverse!....................then drive back to the staging lanes without a tow car...................

Hi

After the failure of my front tyres after Wakefield and the tyre importers saying that cracks are normal and not to worry, I had some ADVAN Neova AD08R fitted today. Cant wait to try them.

Thanks CT

Hi

Richard Holzl just got me in a set of 28 mm short bars. The're made in Japan and sold by Latest Rage in the US.

I'm running 26 mm short bars now which are much too soft, I hope that these will stop some of the squat I'm getting under power.

I'm curious how those bars will work also. I installed a set of 944 bars in mine and it feels awful stiff, but I don't have the engine or anything in it yet so hopefully that helps soften it up a bit. As is though, I can't even bounce on the rear of the car with my full weight (240lbs) and get the rear end to move.

I am curious how you work out the required bars without actually trial and error.
