-8 all the way dude.

Doesn't cost or weigh much more than -6 really, and no harm in having more fuel flow capacity than you need.

Cry once basically.

I have never had a need to use a return line on my drag cars and have always had the regulator near the carbs . My fuel pressure always stayed pretty steady wherever I set it from 2.5 - 7psi depending on which carbs I ran. I do consider the fuel pump a wear item that I replace every couple years and I rebuild the regulator every year so that I can replace the diaphram and check the spring . If I was driving on the street for prolonged periods of time I might think about a return system but only after I had a problem. I am NOT saying what you guys are doing is not needed for your cars , just that I have been lucky not to need it all these years. Mike McCarthy

I had nothing but problems with all the Holley products... But like you said, street cars are different animals.... Most of the fuel control problems I had were with the DCOE (which turned out to be heavliy modified for meth by the PO!), and the need to run a boost refernced FPR with that carb.... Hence the full flow setup.... Most all Holley FPR's are designed to be used a 'dead head'.... But the pumps never lasted very long either.... I now use the Carter pump which is an internally submerged pump that uses the flow of fuel to keep it cool, along with the Aeromotive FPR.... I now have rock solid pressure to the 500dbl Holley, with plenty of flow through my 1/2" ID lines.

Finished making up a new weld in midmount tonight, also gave the gearbox a little love... it might even get a lick of paint tomorrow!

Well, it's got pre set maps in it which you can modify. So well get it running and a close tune then take it to the dyno to tune under load on boost.

Finally got things moving this weekend, we got off to a rocky start on saturday but nipped it in the butt today! We did a trial assembly of the whole engine, everything seems to fit quite nicely...

Yeah, we did... Turns out you can't use the Teflon buttons on the wiseco slipper skirt pistons, only Mahle. The pistons come with these spiro lock things which are supposedly the next best thing.

Nope, no straight cuts. I had planned to but being on a budget I was talked out of it by a reputable builder.
