Won't make it too much faster, but will stop it better.... That said.... Anyway to remove rotating mass from the driveline has too be a good thing right?

Just bought the tank..... So I guess the POS is no longer a road car!!!

I wouldn't worry about brakes at the mo if your just looking at saving weight.
There's plenty of other lightning to be done if it's no longer a Streeter.
I'm still running drums all round. Adds to the excitement

To race in the street meets here I have to run a full interior and working light etc.... But I think polycarbonate windows might be a good place to start.... Not to mention the 'nut behind the steering wheel' could stand to lose a few kilo! ;)

Have a chat to rod Penrose as he did have some light weight discs and calipers that are Wilwood copies. Nice and light and not that expensive either. Troy has used something similar on his car which fitted nicely with his spindle
Mount fronts.

Hahahahhah.... Will take some as I get through the updates Barry.... So build up pics will have to suffice.....
Really itching to get it back on the track, but have decided to wait for the correct tyres.... Those muthas I have on the back really don't like hitting 100mph!
Anyway.... Seeing what the rest of you guys are doing has inspired me to put my stroker together.... Chris' efforts with his WPVW sponsored, Ben with his M&M, Andrew and Frankenstein and of course we can't forget Rose, Ian and the 'Nude Bug'... All inspirational.
So next school holidays, I'm going to start on the build of the 2276..... It's long over due.....
I guess a real transaxle and axle is the next big spend coming up for me!

Got a GT2560 on my car in a draw-through config.... It has the OEM Wastegate Actuator which is not adjustable.... Looking at other safe options to boost it up.... And found this....

Anyone tried one?

I use one of these

But why not get one of these for the price

I have actually made one like the one you use Andrew, but I have a fear that I have now turned the car into a boom!.... I have these images of the thing going bang as soon as the vent releases the mixture!.... I guess it's only a minute amount, so I'm prolly being stupid.... I'll post some pics of what I have made and where I have fitted it....

Remember though that it is "teed" in so the the mixture would normally go to the waste gate actuator anyway other than a small amount of bleed off through the hole.
The amount of mixture that would come out of that would be minute as it is pressure with next to no flow.

This is it....
So the boost gauge a stepper motor type with a sensor mounted on the inner firewall... It's signal is shared by the MJ ignition and it comes directly off the centre intake manifold tube.... The turbo's wastegate gets it's signal from another fitting in the centre intake manifold tube via the boost bleed....

That's pretty much the same as mine although I had the luxury of a boss on the turbo that I was able to drill and tap to screw the boost controller into.

The other thing is that the factory waste gates actuators suffer from creep. I tested mine and it was supposed to open at 7.5psi but started cracking at 5psi. Having the boost controller set above the actuator eliminates most of that. Be interested to see how accurate the adjustable one is. Buy one and see......:D
