Started pulling the 2270 type 4 out of the bug. Seems the gearbox don't like all the torque. Spent a lovely 1.5 hours on side of highwway friday
afternoon. I am hoping its only the throwout bearing has come off the clutch fork. Was driving nicely and a sound i didnt like gradually got worse
and then i couldnt get any gears. But a big thumbs up to RACQ i am not a member but they stopped and towed me off highway to a safer spot to wait for
the tow truck i called. I will be joining RACQ now.
This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.

Took the battery charger off; after 2 days of charging no dice..... Jump start from Tiguan; no dice. Mmmmmm seems my 7 year old battery has died for
the last time Highly recomend NRMA batteries!
Put interior back in; attached missing bits of tinware then took dog to vet after I found tick (was paralysis but got it EARLY phew)

Got the buggy working at last but the weather is not buggy weather Swore at the fuel injection on the cab 'cos now it all has to be right (as practically everything that can be
replaced/cleaned/fiddled with, has been) but now seems to be running on 3 cylinders!

Well after 5yrs of being off the road i have finally gotten started on doing some work to Buzz.
Yesterday was spent with a grinder and wire wheel getting the top of the pan back to bare metal in preparation for soem KBS coatings (Poor mans
POR15)

they have no useful purpose
but they are fun to watch

KBS is a very good, hard wearing paint. I used it on my pan, and haven't looked back in nearly four years.

Did you paint your rear-view mirrors with it?
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Started the bus today, added some more sensors for data logging.
Now I'm logging :
-Air/fuel ratio x 2
-Throttle position
-Rpm
-Timing
-Volts
-Oil temp and pressures
-Fuel temp and pressures
-Intake and exhaust manifold pressures
-Air temp, before air cleaner after turbo and after inter cooler
-Exhaust gas temp 1, 2, and 3 rotor ports pre turbo and 1 after the turbo
-G forces
-injector duty
That's only 21of the 32 channels
Thinking about a heart rate monitor for fun at the strip or even better a passenger
