Doug is getting some work done at the moment and I am getting some parts delivered to Doug over the next couple of weeks.
So hopefully it will be here in early September. Then through September get the car inspected and a couple test and tunes done.
Even if I can't race the car I will try to take the car if its here.

yup good idea.
we used Vintage Autohaus Usa in , California to move our vw to shipping and Fabien help with the parts pick ups.
we got lots a extra VW stuff,2 sets of wheels, slicks, axle, struts , wheelie bars etc with our car and Main freight didn't charge any extra freight

I've been bolting Andrews new car back together with the fresh Autocraft trans. Taking my time and cleaning everything as it goes back together. Car looks great for a 20+ year old paint job! Car will be race ready when Andrew receives it. It's not too hard to get used to. Just think of it as that WILD girlfriend we all used to have. Gotta be ready for anything but it's worth it for the thrill!
Car goes straight when you line up in the groove. On the board in my trailer is written: IF CAR DOES NOT GO STRAIGHT...LIFT!!!!!!! Words to live by right there.
The car never frightened me because I've been divorced 3 times AND audited by the IRS. My third pass in the heap was a 6.49 1/8 mile and I lifted at 1000' for a 10.61.
I know the car will perform well for you Andrew. I know you will enjoy it! Your competition better look out for Murphzilla!

Yes it is a good looking car hey Mike!
Love the curved windscreen and early nose!
If Andrew can make the most of the current power, perhaps later we can try another 30 or so. ;)

There are a few things that make this a pretty unique car.... Centre driving position being one.....

I was originally looking for a rail as there wasn't any running here at the time.....
I had to change my mind when someone decided to bring one in! I won't mention any names.

The car is going through USA customs at the moment and will be loaded for a ship that leaves late this week. 30 days later it should be here.
I estimate second week of September.

Andrew tell me the car is scheduled to arrive September 6. Car is race ready except he needs to put the header and wheelie bars back on.
Oil is fresh, valves are set. Put some fuel in it and head to the track for some seat time! 10psi in the slicks, 28psi up front.
Go get em' Andrew!

Finally got a confirmed delivery date from the importer. The 6th was the earliest possible.
The ship is due the 13th and allowing a couple of working days for it to clear customs I should be able to pick it up on the 18th.
