The only place I have seen more rice cookers was in a market place in Japan! Great to see the vw guys run though!

Hey Guy's, Just wan't to start by thanking my awesome crew who made it possible to run Jambo on the week end. We managed 3 qualifyers on Sat starting off with a 11.7 @ 114 and was not pleased with the lack of power from the conservitive 12 psi tune we had. Checked some data on the new Innovate LM-2, found 0.6 to low 0.7's on the lambda and the egt's looked stable right through the run seeing max 740 ish deg/c. Aaaron checked the maps for more boost in the Microtech and gave us the green light to increase to 14 psi. This run was much better getting off the line better running 11.1 @ 118. Happy with the data from that run I got greedy and went for the old 18 psi tune for the third run but with the new injectors flowing more than the old ones we are assuming it was to rich as I forgot to record the run. It layed over when it switched into the 18 psi map, slowest all day 11.7 @ 114.

Had a think over night and we decided to wind the boost back a bit so it didn't switch into the richer maps. My driving skill some what returned on race day and had a good first race with much better launch, 1.47 60', 6.80 1/8 @ 100 and 11.1 on 10.99 dail in = win. Had to back off early so going off 1/8th mile times dropped the dail in to 10.85. Second run got real lucky with my opponent red lighting, I bogged the start and ran 11.4 on the 10.85. Quarter finals was my last run of the day and was my best until I watched the footage and found I backed off way early and prob could have won if I had stayed in it all the way. How ever It did run back into the 10's with a 10.99 but Mph was down and I now know why.

Thanks again to every one Involved in preping my car, Dave Butler for his assistance, Aaron Robert's for flowing my Injectors and all the track side support, Matty at PITS for his dynoing and the boys Matty, Mick, Mad Ash and Dad for all thier help.

I'm working on a comp vid now stay tuned......

Why does the buggy switch maps rather than just move up into higher load sites when you up the boost?
