Really i don't see what the problem is ordering stuff over seas what is the advantage ordering locally? All the aussie suppliers are re sellers, and
stuff overseas comes quicker and is cheaper??? The often quoted " after sales service" argument is crap mostly see the above post for just one
example in Australia there is mostly none. Do the homework specify what you wanted still where ever it comes from it might be wrong send it back OS or
local.
I guess what i am saying and this is and from someone who only gets part via the mail as i live in regional Australia what is the argument forusing
local guys If we all buy over seas whats the problem ? When I order CIP its here in days if its wrong send it back if its your fault its your problem
if its theres there is some lee way given on postage usually if not the $ you save in the first place covers it.
The Aussie guys can't be doing it that hard any way they all seem to have 6 weeks off over xmas who do you think pays for that wish i could have that
many holidays
.
Just my thoughts anyways. Mitchell

Mick motors. Just never use the bad suppliers again but don't tar them all with the same brush.
Well said.
Vollks is a little excessive with freight on multiple orders but the service is tops. Just placed a big order with them. Just Kampers also give good
service. Rod Penrose, just starting out with his web sight gives great advice and service.
For the odd stuff overseas is your best option but freight can be a killer.

Here's a thought.
Try local, if it's worth it and available, get it. If not, get it where you can.
If a business shits on you, tell them they have, if they won't come good, go elsewhere.
They get the message if you tell them they have a problem, often they realise and do their best to come good. If they don't, it's their issue not
yours.
I, like a lot of you, run my own business. if a supplier doesn't measure up, I let them know, give them a chance to come good and if they don't, I
find another supplier.
Same with my customers. If there's a problem, I do my best to fix it. If they don't pay, I talk politely with them. If they still don't pay, I
quietly let all the other local tradies know to watch out for them.
I don't advertise, word of mouth, keeps me booked full months ahead.
Same with our VW parts suppliers. If someone on here says that they get good service from a supplier, then give that supplier a go. If someone has bad
or no service from a supplier and you let us know, it's like the local watchout for these guys list.
Keep telling us who's good... they are the ones who earn customers.
Word of mouth is the best advertising.

Seems like a strange idea, reward those who deserve to be rewarded ! Where did that idea come from.

I have had 4 orders delivered in the past 5 weeks( I should have ordered in one lot but kept wanting more stuff)
All from Pierside in the States, it usully takes 7-10 daus to my postbox from ordering.
Depending on size it might cost a bit more in postage but its worth it knowing I will actually get my order.

Recently ordered some wheels through Vw heritage Uk, they were here within seven days, Will be ordering some more bits of CB performance soon, always
prompt replies to emails/technical info. Vw heritage were good to deal with too, bit lacking in info though, but a lot of sellers/resellers are I
guess. Freight was a killer but they were heavy steel wheels.
It will all be OK in the end, if it's not OK it's not the end!
