Pre sprint vehicle check Sat 14 May at Vintage Vee Dubb Supplies
Pre event scrutineering will be held at Vintage Vee Dubb on Saturday morning the 14th May for paid up entrants from 8.00am till 11am great way to get
more track time by not being held up on the day,the more we can check on Saturday before event the less rush on race day as some officials are running
as well. Boris will provide a sausage sizzle as well so please SMS me Rudi on 0418442953 and book your car in to have your car checked, easier to fix
any issues a week before rather than miss out on track time on race day. All welcome so come down and have a chat get some tips on car prep and have a
snag.Dont forget you will need your current cams affiliated, club card ,licence L2s and your paid entry receipt , entrys can be made on line on Club

thanks Graham had James in today helping and made good progress today but still need to increase the front spacers as the tyres are hitting the
uprights on hard lock...
Monday is wheel alignment day
Tuesday is bolt on guards and splitter and final once over
Wednesday is pack the trailer and all the gear
Thursday sleep

Didn't appear to be many there yesterday, to take advantage of an opportunity to speed things up next Saturday. It was worth the trip to find out I
need TWO towing eyes for Saturday!
I just hope there are no hold-ups, due to long queues at sign-in and scrutineering...don't whinge if you miss out on a run.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

If your question is aimed at Chris, I cannot believe you are asking such a stupid question, Dave.
A supersprint does not run/organise itself. Chris not only did a great job, he managed to punt the Polo around as well. Even the weather was ideal.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Gave it a little tickle. 8 supersprints and i finally had a go. Awesome fun. I predicted 75 seconds.
First run I did was 79. I was disappointed with that. Figured that my worst corner was the left hander down into the bowl. I kept going in too fast,
too much understeer which put me on the wrong side of the track for the right hander and also robbed me of speed to get up the hill.
So on my second run I focused on nailing that corner. I didn't nail it every time but was a lot better. And I started braking later and harder. Got
down to 77 seconds.
Third run I turned off the A/C and stability control. Massive transformation. I took it easy for the first couple of laps but it was heaps quicker. I
was pulling 3rd much earlier. I think my last lap would have been the quickest but unfortunately it was the cool down lap. I had missed the chequered
flag. The only thing that slowed me down was the queue of cars going into the pits. Finished on 75.  pretty good for 1.2 litres.
I wish I wasn't too lazy to put the camera in the car. The goodride tyres were squealing like crazy. They look a little distressed today. Especially
the left rear. I checked pressures today. It was only 23. The others were 26, 27 and 29. Feeling pretty silly now. Probably another second or two
there. Maybe I'll get a tyre sponsor and some R specs for next year. And a pressure guage.

great job to Chris, Norm, Rudy, Brian, Norm and all the others that helped on the day. It was well run and being my first EC sprint it was a great
day for me after the stress of getting the brakes and suspension upgrade done and then driving down from Brisbane, couldn't have asked for a better
day! thanks guys. Next year I'll have some proper tyres on it as well!!!
