Thanks guys. I'm sure I’ll find another but with 97,000 original miles and two owners it drove so nicely, the brakes were better than my super!
It had been advertised for months on the Vic VW website and I was the first person in 4 months to come up to have a look at it. I guess the guy left
out of the ad, "first to see will buy", I was the first, and let mr second snaffle it up.
Grey 57, the red one on Ebay looks ok but I’m after something that requires very little work and drives well.
Regarding 60-67 Beetles what is the best year, 1967? Presuming I would only buy a 12 volt Beetle

Beetles don't leak oil, they just leave their mark.

Yeah the red one looks like it is a roughey.
Not sure about 60 Beetles, I've mainly had ovals. There was a Big Window 57 for sale here a little while back. Was in Melb.
I'll have a look back and see if I can find it.

I've thought a few times helbus about getting a kombi, but at the moment I'm interested in a good 60's Beetle. Not to say though that
in the future I may want to buy one, I think they are great, especially the pop top campers.
