Realling hoping we'll get some of these Pobjoy steroids engines there.

Getting them on the rollers running in Shootout mode (no cheating possible) and see if they can crack 100 ponies.

Well I won't be there, and you won't believe my reason:D.........................................well my grandmothers 92 birthday actually:party

So If all Dyno Dynamic Dyno's running the SHOOTOUT software are as accurate as each other (said on this forum) then I will have to organise running my car on one closer to where I live!

I have viewed their Web page and have located a Dyno Dynamics operator at Berowra. This is one of a hand full that has been Fully Accredited with the SHOOTOUT 03 software. CBB was not listed, not too sure if Dyno Dynamics are slow at updating their listing or if CBB are not accredited with SHOOTOUT 03??? any ideas?

The Web site also talks about the benefits of the SHOOTOUT 03 setup etc for anyone interested :thumb

Berowra will not be able to fit me in for a couple of weeks, but I will book anyway:D

Then when Jak and the others go to SAS I will go and run my car and compare the results

Yes they are slow at updating.... not everyone can have the shootout software...

The Dyno Day WILL be using Shooutout mode.

I'm going over to bcal's place (the hot rod forum) to pick him up and we are going to cruise over. He's bringing the 28 Ford with the Alfa twin cam engine. I'm over at his place about 7:30 ish. See ya there.

From some of the things he's said on there I don't think it'd be risking your friendship...

"I especially love the look of those early ones with the little back window and with bigs 'n' littles to give them the hotrod stance.
There's a lot of potential with these things, especially as a cheap way for young guys to start rodding."

"I think it's great that so many of you have come out in support of Matt.
I just hope that Mr Model A's comments haven't scared him all the way back to the Vdub Forum.
As for Ratdubs.
What a great concept.
Chop 'em up and bring 'em on I say."

"I wish you guys would stop posting pictures of cool Vdubs
This stuff looks like way too much fun"

"I might even be tempted to give something like this a go myself one day
Cheap, relatively easy to build, easy to register, seats five etc etc.
Tho I think I’d need to grow an extra couple of layers of skin first."

See he'll be converted one day!

He has had endure some flack from the "traditional" hot rod guys over his choice of power plant. I mean it doesn't fit the "formula" for a rod, IE: 350/turbo400/9 inch.......but boy it handles like a sports car.
Much the same as the VW formula .....lowered/BRM/roof rack/swamp cooler.........

Don't forget the big parts clearance... heaps of good stuff going at swap meet prices. Even two split ute projects...

ARE YOU SCARED

You will be I can't wait to see the look on the faces of those of you who havn't had you cars on a dyno, and hearing it have the crap reved out of it.

It sounds worse that it is and Mike does know what he's doing.

It will still be funny to watch people cringe.

Is this the same motor you ran with in the Drags ??? If so would be good to see how much horsepower is needed for low 13 passes:D
