How to make friends and influence people , great book , anyway..........
Now thats what i call a response!!!!!! Like a red rag to a bull. Go on girls!!!!!Knew that would get you typing but chill out abit ladies . Jeez!!
Great to see that there ARE so many cool ladies driving vw's , i just wanted to get an idea of how many are out there! Obviously alot ,
yippie!
Now you can all calm down, call off the dogs , put the knifes away , put the safety catch back on ,stop the death threats, promised beatings and
verbal abuse. As MOST of you have a SENSE OF HUMOUR :thumb you saw the post for what it was , abit of fun and alot of posts generated. For the few of
you who really thought i was having a pop at females in anyway , shape or fashion , i'm truely sorry. Sorry for upsetting you and sorry that you
REALLY think that anyone using this forum would try and be rude or sexist. As everyone here seemed to be pretty laid back and friendly i mistakenly
thought that a post like that wouldn't have been a problem and taken for what i thought it was. Anyway i won't do anything like that again
as it's obvious you can't attempt to have a laugh without upsetting someone! Again sorry !:cry .
p.s
to the very troubled lady that U2U'd me , in response to your suggestion , i actually DO think they'd look good as earings. Love you to but
i feel that it won't work out for us somehow!
Thanks for the replies , well the nicer , funny ones anyway! Excuse me now i've got a rock to hide under!

Obviously meant in good fun but certainly got a few hairs bristled! Interesting experiment in generating attention, not one that I'd be game to
undertake though! :o

When I read it I thought there was only three possible reasons.
1) dannyboy stayed logged on while one of his mates posted while he was up the shop gettin' chips'n'beers
2) He was aiming to shake the cage for fun
3) He was serious and was clueless to real life scenario's.
I couldn't believe from previous posts that he would be no.3
Even though the cat is out of the bag so to speak, I was going to post like this.
--------------------------------------------------
Cool chicks!
My wife was the one that got me into dubs. She drove a kombi with attitude and I being the Holden man I was crumbled.
She now has two veedubs, drives one or the other every day and washes, polishes, cleans them and participates in their upkeep in general.
She is a member of the VW club Vic and even has a tatoo of her bus on her back.
Dedication, madness, peace with her inner self.
How cool a VW chick can you get? (My opinion anyway)

I am with hellbus on this, was wondering how someone writing that could have clocked up so many posts.
As a newbie in here, (a 'chick' who was finally coming out of the closet, openly admitting she had been repressing her bugarian desires for

Dannyboy, that is a lame way of getting out of this. Even if what you say are the reasons you started the post are true, your reasoning seems
implausable and "oh, shit, I mean, I was only kidding...." I think its extremely unwise to start anything as unPC as this in any situation
where people cant see your face and the grin on it. This rules out written/ typed word and phone conversations. You ran the risk of offending people
without chance of coming back, and lost. Your friends who know you may be able to accept your backpeddling, but many who dont know you may well not...
It wasnt funny in the first place, mate...
Sorry if I offended you... Hope to see you at the nats, we can have a beer and a laugh.... while dodging projectiles...

Steve i wasn't back peddling . I've said sorry for the post as i realise it has upset some people. Obviously my previous posts are
nothing to go by then? If i had swore , had a blatent go or similar you'd have grounds to have a go but get off your box and open your eyes. Why
do you think i worded it the way i did , i'm not about to risk being thrown off the site. I've have posted alot since being a member ,
helped out others and tried to add to the forum . I'm not about to get into an on line arguement with you , i've made my apoliges and quite
clearly your not happy. Well sorry to you aswell , happy! |

No need to be defensive... Just advice, not abuse. My point was only that it was risky when so many people dont know you, as you may not get believed,
and may get people offside for a while unintentionally. I am happy to accept your arguement and stand by my offer of beer and dodging. Cheers.
However, having just reread, it certainly didnt pull punches, but I did finish with an apology if I offened.

think that there VW's are better than others and so be it, but us girls on here "ALL LOVE" our VW's......................

I don't think what you drive has anything to do with the sort of person you are. At all!
However, in saying that. Most people I've met who have driven VW's have been nice.
But I guess it's like meeting people who like the same sort of music or something. You'll both find each others conversation/company
enjoyable because you share a mutual interest in something.
I read this post first off thinking it was a joke, then was'nt sure. Hard to tell the true intentions behind something that's posted on a
message board.
