Man what a great day, went abit bolistic in the swapmeet once again but got alot of realy good buys...thanks to the all the guy selling stuff,your
prices were bloody great.
BIG THANKS to Bayside Klub VW for a great day and a perfect spot for a show.

Well Done KlubVW Bayside on a great show! Had a really good time, the venue was perfect and plenty of shaded places to sit when we wanted to.
Lots of great cars to look at and the swapmeet was really good.
A huge pat on the back for Moniek and her team!

Klub Fest is all over for another year
The weather was great and the temp was fantastic
Thank you to everyone that helped out over the last 3 months. A special thanks to Marc & Kathy and Michael, Carlie & Graham for all the help
leading up to and including the day.
The gates opened to the public at 8.30am but we had cars coming in at about 7.00am including some swap/trade sites. I think we had about 14 stalls
and lots of bargains.
We had a GREAT show considering it was the FIRST KLUB FEST IN BRISBANE .
Klub VW Brisbane / Bayside was slowly growing but we picked up a few new memebers.
Such fanatastic looking VW's displaed in the show and shine... it was sure impressive. We had a lot of new faces in the crowds, I think all the ads
in the papers worked. We even had cars that did not want to enter in the show and shine but still wanted to park with everyone and be apart of the
festivities. We closed the voting off at 11.30am and people still drove in and parked and wanted to vote and register.
Everything ran so smoothly and we never had a problem with parking, voting and registrations.
Congratulations to eveyone that won Lucky Door Prizes and Trophy Winners.
I had a photographer taking photoes of the day... as soon as the pics have been developed ill get them posted.

I had a great day, awesome location guys, never want to go back to toowoomba, keep it by the bay.
Travelled to the show in Robs oval and back in Bobs 23 window, what a hoot...got some bargains too!!!
Well done moniek and her crew, did well, even the sausage sangers were a hoot and only $2...

Congrats all round to moniek and the Klub Fest ppl!
It was a BEAUTIFUL day, down by the bay ----- perfect location and a really nice turn out ---- what a great spot, plenty of room plenty of shade
(though i still managed to get sunburnt....)
So many lovely VWs --- and lots that i have never seen before ----- TYPE 3s!!!! yayayayayayaya!
And I won a lucky door prize WAHOO!!!!! I never win those things....and yesterday i did...so THANKS to the person who pulled out my ticket!
As always, it was awesome to catch up with my beloved vw friends - the angelic Judy, Kat, Bianca, James, Dallen, Bluebus (whoes name i always forget)
Shani --- and all the very cute offspring you have (the future dubbers...!)
Had to leave early tho :-( to hoon it with Kat up to Willowbank for some racing.........BUT THATS ANOTHER STORY~ and quite worthy of a different post,
with pics by the highway....where we "rested" for a bit and yes Kat I distinctly remember hearing you say "f##k this beetle I am gunna smash it to
bits...." or words to that effect....heheheh.....well......i am not going to tell tales.....but i hope you got home ok!!!

What a great day.
Well done to Moniek and all the people involved. I just loved the 23 window but can't understand why it wasn't in the show & shine.
Lots of buggies and kombis and even the ghia section filled out. Looking forward to next year already.

Thank you for your kind words and ill pass them on at the meeting this friday. I tried to speak to everyone that either came through the gate or
passed me and everything was great.
The feed back was all positive and everyone said that they are looking forward to next year coming down and spending they day beside the water. We
had a lot of new faces, hopefully we will see more new faces at all the other events.
Alec has confirmed that Klub Fest will be happening again in by the Bay.........

Actually the owner came in and said that he did not want to enter in the Show and Shine no matter what we said :o(. He said that he wanted just a
trade site.... did not want to be compaired and did not want to be put up against Show and Shine VW's

Well done everyone!
Congrats to the organisers and their assistants for holding another great VW event! Everything appeared to go smoothly (from my perspective anyway!)
and it was a great way to relax and catch up with everyone.
Congrats also to all the trophy winners. I look forward to seeing all the photos of the day.....
Oh yeah - Sorry I took your 'Most Personality' trophy IICAB, but I feel that it was a close contest. You say that this trohpy is similar to the
'dog of the day' trophy? That would make 2 to me then.......:P

I didnt know it was forsale, infact i'd be very suprised if it was, 40k wouldnt do it justice...
It wasnt in the show n shine because he's not really interested in the whole trophy thing, he was very happy for people to have a look and talk about
it, just doesnt get into the show n shine and judging...
