I am told that a small white lie has been told to RTA and the insurance co.
They said it was a std 1.7 Kombi motor.
Not jealous of a posers car at all.
Just stating the facts, These rules were made by the RTA to stop the Brads and Wesleys of this world doing stupid conversions.
I personally hope someone sticks Yellow stickers all over it cause it is not safe aqnd I don't want my Daughters to ride in back yarder covered up
and lied about cars.:repuke:repuke
Also 64 if it is not legal should u be talking about it here ??
These guys are typical uninformed hot rodders gone silly, u would think his dad would be worried bout the boy in a highly illegal car, if he hits any
one i know I will ppersonally see the bastards locked up..

Hey jak,
I think someone has been telling you little white lies about this car.
Ok people
please only nice responses to this thread.
I'm sick of reading the insults on this car.
Yeah it may have been done mostly in the back yard but it has had more money spent on it than a lot of people make a year, just to make it handle well
and to make it safe.
So if you guys have nothing good to say about something,
Don't say it at all. People don't wanna here it.
And Jakjones.
What are you afraid of mate.
i cant see any location or any sort of info in your profile.
Is this what you get upto all day long.
Sit behind a computer screen and bag the shit out of people.
If your in newcastle mate make a time and date and come out from behind that screen and meet us.
we might even show you exactly what the engineers says and what the insurance papers.

Looks a hell of alot better built and safer than all the new POS HSV's and FPV's that we see everyday. :kiss
I reckon it's one of the maddest cars I've seen in along time, hats off to him.

Hi guys,
This is my first day on the forum and the hostility is a little out of character for people who are all supposed to share and assist each other with
our passion....or am I wrong.
I reckon its a great car and I thought ALL VW's were registered with 1600 type 1 motors or 1800 type 4 engines, atleast thats what their rego
says.

Interesting comments ....
I have engineering and design papers for all modification I have done so does Wes... I just don't release them so clowns like you can't copy my work
as a crap standard and kill yourself. Now can I see your papers for being a tosser ??? Nope oh well you had better stop then ...
Back to thread...
Cool car and I must apoligize for the mixed hostitality some people on here are just very jealous due to their inability to build anything legal
themselves.

You're right Brad, it's all jealousy. I can't believe a car like this has been met with such crap comments it's awful. You would think these
people would act like adults and not use the internet as a form of hiding their own insecurities and lack of achievements.

VW0064-At the risk of dragging all the Fuckwits out of the woodwork again-do you have any later pics of his fuel injection set up and any more info on
the rest of the car-a real credit to him.Hope he doesn't have access to the Forum-it would be a shame for him to know how many no brainers hang
around here.

mate wot a nice ride. great effort and my praise to all involved.
what i wouldnt give to have a 2.8 in any of my vw's.
hmmmmmm 2.8 in my dcab, i can see it now. i will need to talk to youse boys soon,i reackon.
dont take the response bad. it is easy to read a post wrong, and have it all get out of shape. i am sure that they jsut all want to know how, so they
can do it.
funny too. the older you get, or the parent you become usually means you lose your independant right to live a free, serve yourself well life. then
you lose the spirit and suffer entropy.
me i dont count b'days. bring on the good bad and the down right insane.

This car is past nice, its unreal. Its damn near exactly the car I'd build if (or when?) I had the money and skills.
Anyone that is surprised or disbelieves the fact this car is regoe'd and engineered and insured obviously just doesnt have a lot of experience in the
area. Its far less wild than say Wesleys Baja, and that is just comparing it to cars on this forum. There are some absolutely insane sounding cars out
there with full engineering, rego and insurance.
For example, late 70's corolla with a 12A turbo rotary and about 500hp - rego, licence and insurance no worries (Its the flagship of Mr Enforcer
engineering). All because the car is built right.
There is a 75 1303 in Perth here with a 2.1 wasserboxer conversion complete with Wolf 3D injection and an eaton supercharger, big brakes conversion
(discs all round), 17" rims etc etc. All legal and engineered.
So to see a naturally aspirated 1.8 in an oval does not suprise me at all.
Well done.

on any other forum, be it rotories, V8s, toyotas watever that i have been on, this is the only place i've seen ppl get bagged for putting abit more
power in there car, or lowering it or modifying it in watever way they want (rat look, narrowed beams, etc) or for getting around RTA laws in watever
way possible.
i just have to ask, wats wrong with some of you people?

The answer to that one is "simple". All of the air cooled VW Forums both here and overseas seem to attract a handfull of Fuckwits who make an
artform out of being obnoxious.Wake up and show some respect towards the members who post the story of their own or a friends car, and you may be able
to learn something you can use in the future if you have enough brains to be able to put together a car of your own.So prove to us all how clever you
are by keeping you mouths shut?????

AMEN to that! Plus they all want to do their projects for under $500 and a swag load of favours which they will never return.
If anyone dare to actually do a project on the level (and/or not swap all their EMPI accesories for an aircleaner) they get met with nothing but envy
driven grief.

The car looks awsome and is a credit to its owner if only all cars could be built to this standard then there would be no need for engineers
certificates etc
Well done mate
I dont blame the guy either for not wanting to come onto this forum
I have been thinking about putting a pic of my car up for some time now but after the crap this car recieved i will not be doing anything of that
nature.

The car looks awesome, the interior has to be the most radical bug interior I have seen in Oz. Lot's effort congrats.
but, I hope he doesn't have an accident, coz if they do find out that the car is a 2.8l, the insurance and police won't be happy. I wanted to put a
much bigger motor in my car but didn't for that reason.
But it's his car and if he's willing to take the risk then I spose it's up to him. That's all, no agro
