Checked out a few areas for a BBQ...
Shaws Bay (near the caravan park) looks good.
There a few good spots around, that one has a little takeaway shop thats handy for everyone also.

Uuummm, meeting point between Yatala & Byron...
How about just past the NSW/ Qld border ....meet just before the new Highway starts (near the Murwillumbah turnoff).
You can park safely around there on the side of the road/Pacific Highway.
Make sure you fill up guys before then, cos after the border there are no petrol servo's on that new highway til you get to near the Mullumbimby
turnoff.

Would b great to have more people cruise with us... and even better if we got DIFFERENT from the usual Is there anywhere along the highway near gold coast as a pick up point before heading to Byron?
We've got two pik up spots so far
1.Caboulture BP service sentre
2. Yatala BP north exit
3. (somewhere near the gold coast) for other ppl???? got any ideas?

I work for Ken Guy Real Estate... but I have been at the Maroocydore Office training their new receptionist for the last 3 weeks so i've seen you
turn at the lights on the corner and check out Shrek each time! But after this week I will be home at the humble Caloundra Office... want to stay at Maroochydore bcos its sucha bootfiul spot!
Then after work or for lunch its off to Frozzy's down the road bcos its just the BEST Restaurant EVER... have you heard of it LMAO! hehehehe

I'd forgotten, probably because of the drink mixing of the proprietor.
I have a vague recollection of being there on a hazy friday night, or it might have been more than one, I think they've all faded into one big
blur.

OK guys... here's the plan
This is a rough estimation... something to use as a GUIDE ONLY!!!
7am - LEAVE Etamogah Pub
7.30am-7.40am - arrive at CABOULTURE ***FIRST PICK UP***
7.45am - LEAVE Caboulture at the latest!
8.45am - arrive at SPRINGWOOD ***SECOND PICK UP***
(Ampol Station near IKEA complex)
9.00am - leave Springwood at the latest!
10-10.15am - COOLANGATTA ***THIRD PICK UP***
Hoping to be in Byron by 12noon - above times are fairly generous and ESTIMATES ONLY!
If you are going to be at one of those ***PICK UP*** spots please U2U either Sleeper or myself with WHERE you'll be meeting us and a mobile contact
number. We figure it will be easier to sms ppl when we're 30mins away from the spot just in case nething happens. PLUS... then we know who we're
waiting for or even IF we're waiting for anyone, bcos its no use waiting somewhere for 10-15mins if no one is goin to meet us there.
We're not saying you HAVE to go by this but it would help us out and im sure we all know our widdle VWs can b unpredictable at the best of times!
