Hi & welcome to the madhouse Princess
Good to see more chicks on line.
There are many different VW's to choose from.
Find out where a vw show is coming up near you & go look at the many types & decide which one suits you best.
Join a vw club (no doubt one near you) great for advice from members on what to look for when buying the type you like,
where to go for parts & service etc.
And going to vw events to share your pride & joy with others.
Hopefully this helps you....

Hi
Welcome along, some people on here should only ever meet people online, their manners and personal hygene leave a lot to be desired and thats why they
are in a room by themselves on a Friday night, ooops I just relalised im in room by myself on a Friday night, but I just got back from a Scout
meeting.
I look after the Club VeeDub Sydney website, our 4 sales will be getting updated next Thursday (they are always updated with new 4 sales on the 3rd
Thursday of the month), so have a look on there for a suitable car.
If you dont know what sort of VW to buy have a look at members rides on this forum to see the various models.
Although I love all VWs I feel the post 68 VWs are the better ones for every day driving.

female AND gay AND desperate (just not how you think...)
Did I suck you in with the header? :thumb I'm desperate for advice! I've got a 73 4-cylinder pop top with a dead motor and I'm trying to figure out
what to do with it. There's not too much cancer in the body (in usual spots, around windows) and only one ding in the right centre panel. Have done
the internal panels myself in sexy sexy sexy purple crushed velvet (yeah baby!). It's got no cupboards or sinks or anything like that, but seats are
in good condition with rear seatbelts intact and has a near-new pop-top. We were heading off for holidays last week, got 60 k's down the road and the
motor suddenly overheated, smoke pouring everywhere and now has zilch compression. So I figure I need to either a) get the motor fixed b) put 2nd hand
motor in it c) put re-conned motor in it or d) get rid of it and get new Kombi cause it's not worth the $. How do i know how much $ is reasonable to
spend if the mechanic has a look and says it needs new pistons etc? I haven't had it towed there yet, but have rung up and the various pricing is
scaring me. I'm happy to spend up to $1500 on it but probably not more. It cost me $2000 14 months ago. *sigh* And all this when I've been given 2
weeks notice to move house, too! |

Hey there anastasia, that's too bad about the bus.
If you like it, and have done work on it, I would think find another motor and put it in (or have it put in). If you can find one cheap, which may
not be feasible. Is it a 1700?
If there's little rust but you can't be bothered fixing it, put it up for sale and get a different one. Little rust should attract buyers: I'm in
Melb. and have a spare motor, but no body to put it in, there must be similar kinda people in Brisy you'd think. I don't know, perhaps not!:P
Might be hard to buy and have installed a motor for $1500.
Also, perhaps a new topic would be the way to go on this one, rather than posting in princess dub's?
Cheers mate, and welcome to VW (judging by post count you're new right?)...
Welcome to Princess Dub too!:party
