I don't care who I send it to just as long as somthing starts and continues. Sort it out between your selves who floats it. In the meantime lets get a bank of articles behind us and then we have somthing to start with. A poll is fine but there is no effort involved - seeing how many stories come in will be a true gague of if people are committed to seeing a E-zine or not.

I reckon it will be a bit like how Rove started - Little by little he got some cred and then people started tuning in and celebs started joining in. Mine will be the token sh!tbox people can laugh at until you can get some cred.

Yanni you want the job you've got it brother - it's your thread. Talk it over with Brad about about working it together. I think Brad's point is that it's generally just piss and wind and no Storm because people want to read it but don't want (or are too busy to) help build it.

Magazine is a great idea.

Great idea. However it will eat up a lot of somebodys time. I'd be happy to pay a subscription fee. Throw a few bucks at regular contributors to get them off their backsides and write something.

I am happy to voluneer Jak as a regualr contributor. He writes about the Porsche Club supersprints we do. His articles go in Zeitschrift, Club Veedub's magazine.

Speak to Steve Carter, he puts Zeitschrift together, ask how much time it takes him and what it's like getting content. He's been doing it for years.

That's my 2 cents. I'll give a few more cents if you need the magazine art directed.

Hey yooo it is all yours ...

Don't get me wrong here, BUT I am keen as hell to have nothing to do with the setup and running of the magazine. I will happily sponsor it with the providing of webspace if needed.

I said what I said cause I have been here many times before.,, I really want to see some of these people put fingures to keyboards and actually do something instead of saying yeah yeah I will help but nothing ever eventuating...
I could not volunteer your time but I can mine and if I get 10 articles I am happy to kick it along for all to see. But that ain't gunna happen.... Look how many views we have and look how many people have offered an article....

I once wrote and article called "The Shoping Trolley" about and old bomb VW I bought. When it was posted it got more interest than any of the fancy VW's I put up... go figure.

Anyway it is your show I was just trying to prove a point .
The sub domain is setup and ready to go, do you want the settings ??

I'm happy to do proof reading for the articles we get, providing I have a little bit of time. At the moment I have quite a bit, there's not much happening. Depending on how today pans out I am gonna try to write an article... Shock horror!! :o

Article

I'd be happy to write a short piece on my adventure of moving interstae Newcastle to the Gold Coast. Took two days, slept on the side of the road, broke down few times, stuffed the car full of my whole life and just drove.

I'd like to think I could provide an article of my Oval when all work is complete.

Not at the panel shop yet but everything is coming along nicely.

Not worth putting "pen to paper" 'till it's finished though.

okey dokey....

hey people,

ok mag is coming along slowly, launch will hopefully be mid year. Works been busy.

About 3 people have sent in articles with photos which is a great start :)

If someone can write something up for the dyno day it would be great.

i went down to Bulli and have no problems writing something up for that, i took some photos, but as always, the more the merrier.

Moonlite, it will be a range of bugs... BUT that is only due to the fact that everyone in the forum has different types of bugs and vw's. so the more articles we get, the greater the spread!

keep coming with the articles people :)

thanks a bunch.

Yianni.

Oh and BTW, if you have photos, i can scan them for you, but i would like an envelope and postage so i can send them back to you... otherwise it may get expensive.

cheers :)

Corey,

I know about your site i've been regularly checkin it out.. looks unreal :D

everyone, thanks for the interest....

Ok just a progress report, i've done most of the design of the site and am hoping to launch it mid this year...

BUT i can't do a thing without articles!
I have 3 articles so far, and i must say, :thumb nicely writtena nd will be a great read for everyone who checks em out... I have been given tech articles by Matt (thanks mate), and features by, OvalGlen, Matt, and Grey 57. And i have done articles about my 3 dubs. It's not enough though.... so... If anyone has an article, please send it my way.

Honestly it doesn't have to be much... we arn't going for the quality of VW australia or VW Trends, YET.

we just wanna see everyones dubs and hear a bit about em.

i have a few email addresses...

try sending articles to yiannis@compareloans.com.au
if that don't work try:
hades@iinet.net.au
yiannis@eurofinance.com.au
Alternatively, give me a webpage that already has info, or stories on your dubs and i can copy and paste (make sure it has pics!)

Thanks a bunch people :)

Yanni I noticed you didn't list me. Does that mean you haven't got it or you have somthing against Bajas. Hopefully the former. I still have the article and I've saved the pics onto CD so if you have got it let me know and I'll resend it. It was big so perhaps it was to big.

Nothing against Bajas' ol' buddy, i just haven't got it!

I have 3 email addresses, try either:
yiannis@compareloans.com.au
yiannis@eurofinance.com.au
hades@iinet.net.au

one of them is BOUND to work!

Btw, website templates have been made up and i am awaiting content.
I have a few articles, but more would be good for a big first issue.

Hmmm - Thats a worry Yanni.

I'll write up another Article if it can't be found on my home computer Yanni. I did send it but my email account isn't that reliable at the best of time which is why I rely on Hotmail for communicating.

I get right onto it when I return to Dubbo.

In the meantime I'll take a few more action pics to add to the folder I'll send you.
