i have never owned a manx but owned a few baja's
but if someone said to you i will give you a off road vw and you can choose between a baja and a manx what would you choose?
i would say most people would choose a manx
but that doesnt mean bajas suck.

sorry but i dont understand that kind of dribble... ;) afterall the platforms are the same. so really anywhere you go i can go. any where a subi powered beastie baja goes, then the equivialant equiped buggy is gonna do it too. the diff is the buggy is gona do it in better style, asthetically. :thumb

my last trip to stockton turned sour after a road death at bulledelah. i tried goin the back way but not much luck, but i did snatch pull assist an ols couple in a ea falcon slippin and sinkin in mud. made to be used and abused!

i think u can argue both sides to be honest and one side will never agree with the others.. at the end of the day they are all vws and thats what matters. the fact that a baja is better than a buggy by far doesn't really come into it cuz as hard as a buggy trys to be as good as a baja it is still a vw and thats cool.... heheee...

i am a baja man my self but any vw that goes off road and kicks arse on the tracks and shows the 4WD boys the REAL way to go is bloody ace !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now maybe we could have some fun witht his and on the next big meet off the offroad boys a little challange to see who can do what with beer as a prize and a bloody good laugh for all???

come on its a laugh no matter what we drive...

oh this is my old baja doing what bajas do best :D

I reckon they each have their own purpose....I've got one of all three......The Baja Bus takes ALL our camping gear for 5 up the beach each year......The Baja bug will take the family to the more difficult offroad expeditions.....and The Manx will be the fun machine for me and the missus.....:thumb

It's all just a bit of fun arguing both sides, we all know they're both cool.

And for all those that talk about daily driver buggies, my Baja has been for only car for 10 years. So don't tell me that "some local guys use their cars as daily drivers" :P

Granted I use the bike as daily transport, can't argue with 4.5L/100km fuel economy and 0-100kph in 3.9s :D

Interesting Boozer.
We have 11 buggies used as daily or every second day drivers within 20mins from each other.
we only have 3 baja's soon to be 4

ah. even though this is just my OPINION i sorta meant Australia or world wide.

I just mean that, what would you rather leave at night at a train station or at a party?

yeah Bajas are more common in QLD but down this way they are even rarer than the fibreglass buggies.

vw's are all the same when it comes to security so i would still take my buggy .
my green one i leave on the street all the time now. it hasn't moved any where.
